  • Publication number: 20050037812
Abstract: An island type mobile communication arrangement is disclosed. A plurality of BTSs connected to BSCs are reassigned as island BTSs and connected to an island BSC, the island BSC is connected to an island MSC. When entering or leaving the scope of the island MSC, a cellular phone performs a location updating procedure, and thus the island type mobile communication arrangement can provide a special service to all cellular phones in a particular local area by reading MSISDNs in an island VLR corresponding to the island MSC.

  • Publication number: 20040099875
Abstract: The invention provides a structure of Surface Mount Device Light Emitting Diode (SMD LED), which includes a printed circuit board with a metal reflection cup set concavely on the printed circuit board. Besides, at least one LED chip is bonded to the metal reflection cup and electrically connected to the printed circuit board. In addition, an encapsulant is utilized to cover the LED chip and also protrudes from the surface of the printed circuit board for forming a desired shape. The encapsulant of the invention can be directly molded on the printed circuit board and integrally formed in any shape so that the encapsulant will not come off the printed circuit board in any circumstances and that the metal reflection cup can let the light to be fully reflected.

  • Publication number: 20040018415
Abstract: A flat fuel cell assembly for producing electric power. The flat fuel cell assembly includes an insulation frame, two anodes and two membrane cathode assemblies. The insulation frame has two openings and a connecting portion therebetween. Each of the membrane cathode assemblies consists of a cathode coated with cathode catalyst and a solid electrolyte membrane. The anodes are coated with anode catalyst. The anodes and the membrane cathode assemblies form a fuel cell unit at each opening. The fuel cell units are connected in series by a connecting electrode embedded in the connection portion, forming a flat fuel cell assembly.

  • Patent number: 6021948
Abstract: A hybrid card reader for IC cards/magnetic cards includes a casing consisting of an upper casing and a lower casing defining a card passage therebetween. A reduction gear train is mounted on the upper casing and driven by a motor mounted in the casing for driving a roller. Two parallel walls are mounted on the lower casing and include aligned slots defined therein. An idle wheel is mounted to face the roller to sandwich a card therebetween. A fixing member is swivelably mounted to the casing for supporting a magnetic head. A frame is slidably guided by the slots of the parallel walls for contacting with an IC on the card. The idle wheel contacts with the roller under the action of a spring wire when the card is not inserted into the card passage. When the card is inserted into the card passage, the card is sandwiched between the idle wheel and the roller and conveyed under rolling friction upon rotation of the roller.

  • Patent number: 5568664
Abstract: A modular pad assembly includes at least two elongated plate members. Each of the elongated plate member has two opposed ends, and upper and lower faces. Each of the lower faces of the elongated plate members has two longitudinally spaced retaining rings formed thereon. The axes of the two retaining rings are aligned with one another and are parallel to a longitudinal axis of one of the elongated plate members. Each of the retaining rings of the elongated plate has an L-shaped support rod mounted rotatably thereto. Each of the L-shaped support rods has a first arm which is journalled to one of the retaining rings and a second arm which is connected perpendicularly to the first arm. Each of the second arms of the L-shaped support rods has a free end which is formed with a connecting loop. Each of the connecting loops of the L-shaped support rods has an axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of one of the elongated plates.
