Abstract: An electrolyte solution and a battery which are capable of improving cycle characteristics are provided. An anode includes a simple substance, an alloy or a compound of a metal element or a metalloid element capable of forming an alloy with lithium as an anode active material. A separator is impregnated with an electrolyte solution formed through dissolving an electrolyte salt in a solvent. The electrolyte salt includes a first electrolyte salt including LiB(C2O4)2 and a second electrolyte salt including at least one kind selected from the group consisting of LiPF6, LiBF4, LiN(CF3SO2)2, LiN(C2F5SO2)2, LiClO4, LiAsF6 and LiC(CF3SO2)3. In the solvent, 4-fluoroethylene carbonate is included. A coating is formed on the anode by the first electrolyte salt, and high ionic conductivity can be obtained by the second electrolyte salt. Further an oxidation-decomposition reaction of the electrolyte solution which occurs in a cathode can be prevented by 4-fluoroethylene carbonate.

  • Publication number: 20050168502
Abstract: A printing system is designed to reduce the overall time and the cost required for printing patterns on objects such as musical instruments and prevents printed patterns from being partially extended or distorted. Image data representing prescribed patterns are processed in response to object form data representing the form of an object, wherein upon receipt of a user's print instruction, an RGB color inkjet printer ejects ink onto a prescribed surface of the object on the basis of the processed image data. Image data can be produced by picking up an image of another surface of the object, which is transferred onto the prescribed surface of the object, thus establishing a sense of unity in visual sensation therebetween. Alternatively, image data can be processed in correspondence with the selected surface of the object, so that the prescribed image is printed on the selected surface of the object.

  • Publication number: 20050048551
Abstract: An analyte evaluating device is provided that comprises a carrier body that can be bound with an analyte having a fluorescence-labeled part that can emit fluorescence by light received when the distance between the fluorescence-labeled part and the carrier body is enlarged, wherein the distance between the fluorescence-labeled part and the carrier body can be varied by a responding part equipped on at least one of the analyte and the carrier body. It is possible to perform a high-sensitivity evaluation without introducing a fluorescence-labeled part or a radioactive material into an evaluation object. Evaluation is possible for a very small amount of sample. Furthermore, evaluation is possible even when multiple types of evaluation objects are present in a mixture. Miniaturized, complex, and integrated analyte evaluating devices can be provided.

  • Publication number: 20020138650
Abstract: Menu data supplied from an IP server 500 to a mobile station 101 is embedded with a location information substitution data string “NULLAREA” together with a URL of a particular IP server 500. The mobile station 101, upon detection of the location information substitution data string from a menu data selected by the user, determines whether location information can be transmitted to the IP server 500. In the case where the determination is that the transmission is permitted, the mobile station 101 detects its location information and, after substituting the location information for the location information substitution data string, transmits the data to the IP server 500.

  • Patent number: 4556611
Abstract: The magnetic recording medium of this invention contains in the binder a modified polymer prepared by graft-polymerizing a nitrogen-containing polymerizable unsaturated compound onto a polymer by irradiating with radiation to modify the polymer. The modified polymer used in this invention is produced by the graft-copolymerization utilizing the irradiation of radiation, the applicable range of polymers used for producing the modified polymer is wide and, thereby providing a large industrial value. Also, since the modified polymer used in this invention has a nitrogen-containing side chain, the modified polymer contributes to improve the dispersibility and packing properties of a magnetic powder in the magnetic layer. Accordingly, a magnetic recording medium having excellent magnetic characteristics and durability can be provided by this invention.

  • Patent number: 4520079
Abstract: The magnetic recording medium according to the invention contains as a binder a modified polymer prepared by graft polymerizing with a polymerizable unsaturated compound having a sulfonic group or a metal sulfonate group onto a polymer through irradiation. The modified polymer provides a good binding of magnetic powder because of the presence of the sulfonic group or the metal sulfonate group and improves the dispersibility and packing properties of the magnetic powder. The magnetic recording medium thus shows excellent durability. Further, since the modified polymer can be produced by graft polymerization utilizing irradiation, the kind of polymer which may be used in the method of manufacturing the magnetic recording medium according to the invention extends over such a wide range that the magnetic recording medium may be manufactured by an industrially practical process.
