  • Patent number: 11954658
Abstract: A system includes one or more memory devices storing instructions, and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform steps of a method. The system may provide an augmented environment that facilitates a transaction. The system may store profile data including user payment or user profile information. The system may then receive environmental data, and identify one or more action items in the environmental data. In response to this identification, the system may augment the environmental data by adding virtual environmental data, and then provide this virtual environmental data to a device to create an augmented environment. The system can then receive user input data, and provide purchase request data to a merchant terminal in response to those inputs.

Abstract: A system includes one or more memory devices storing instructions, and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform steps of a method for providing an interactive virtual environment. The system may receive environmental data, and augment the environmental data by adding virtual environmental data. The system may then provide this virtual environment to two or more devices. The system can then receive user input, and modify the virtual environment in response to those inputs.

  • Publication number: 20140205656
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of vaccines with adjuvants comprising cationic liposomes where neutral lipids has been incorporated into the liposomes to change the gel-liquid phase transition and thereby modifying the IgG sub-type response and enhancing the CD8 response of the liposomal adjuvant. This technology can be used to increase the production of IgG2 antibodies. This sub-type of antibodies (IgG2 in mice corresponding to IgG3 in humans) have been shown to selectively engage Fc activatory receptors on the surface of innate immune cells leading to enhanced proinflammatory responses and thereby a more efficient immune response with higher levels of protection in animal models of e.g. malaria and Chlamydia. The use of adjuvants which selectively give rise to higher levels of IgG2 antibodies will improve the effect of vaccines e.g. against intracellular infections. Furthermore the technology can be used to induce a CD8 response which has been reported to improve the effect of vaccines against e.g.

  • Publication number: 20070104847
Abstract: A method is provided for obtaining ?-casein from skim milk. Purification of ?-casein from milk is achieved through a process of microfiltration using cross-flow polymeric microfiltration membranes. Cooling of the milk prior to microfiltration results in improved separation of ?-casein from the other milk serum proteins. Further filtration and demineralization of the microfiltered permeate results in enrichment of the fraction containing soluble ?-casein. An integrated scheme that allows a dairy plant to continuously separate and purify ?-casein is provided. Also provided is a method for obtaining cheese with improved meltability and reduced bitterness.

  • Publication number: 20030139985
Abstract: A system is provide for effectively managing lease transactions in a comprehensive manner. Data is generated, processed, and stored at the lowest possible logical level in order to maximize the flexibility of a user to conduct processing at the asset, billing schedule, lease, account owner, master agreement, customer, or program level. Using a fully normalized data design, similar characteristics are treated similarly and different characteristics are treated differently. Unlike other systems, assets associated with the same lease can be treated differently without having to fake asset level processing by using multiple leases with one asset each, to represent one actual lease. A hierarchy of rule settings is enforced, whereby the rule at the lower more specific level trumps the rule at the higher or more general level. The system uses a highly encapsulated accounting engine which encapsulates accounting rules in a transparent incorporates accounting expertise in flexible and transparent manner.

  • Patent number: 6299532
Abstract: A method, device and system are set forth for playing a new Flush Poker card game. The method includes dealing a thirteen card hand to the player. The player selecting a group of suited cards from the thirteen card hand to hold and therefore discarding the remaining cards. The player is dealt replacement cards for the discarded cards. The hand is evaluated for a qualifying hand ranking based on a new variation of poker ranking. Winning hands are paid according to a predetermined pay schedule based on hand rankings and amounts wagered. The device includes a processor programmed to play the game according to the method. The system provides for linking devices to amass a progressive jackpot should the player obtain a qualifying hand.

  • Patent number: 6046282
Abstract: Reactive diluents comprise the amide and/or imidazoline reaction products of low molecular weight carboxylic acids, such as acetic acid, and polyalkyleneamines, such as 2-aminoethylpiperazine (AEP) and triethylenetetramine (TETA). The reactive diluents are prepared by condensation reaction of the carboxylic acid and the polyalkyleneamine at elevated temperature generating a mixture of unreacted polyalkyleneamine, amides and/or imidazolines. The reactive diluent reaction products are used to reduce the viscosity of high viscosity polyamidoamines prepared from fatty dimer acids and polyethyleneamines. Also disclosed is an epoxy composition comprising the epoxy curative composition of a polyamidoamine curing agent reduced in viscosity by the addition of the reactive diluent reaction product and an epoxy resin, such as the diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A.
