BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention

The present invention is in the field of sporting goods or novelty items. More specifically, the present invention is a glow in the dark volleyball set.

Description of the Related Art

The present invention is a glow in the dark volleyball set that has poles that light up, a net, an illuminated ball, a led light or reflective material and solar panels. The main purpose of the glow-in-the dark volleyball set is to present a volleyball set made with illuminated or fluorescent parts for nighttime usage. Volleyball is a popular team sport which two teams are on opposite sides of net and attempt to score points by grounding a ball on the opponent's court. However, volleyball is an outdoor game which can be difficult to play during nighttime hours since players require clear sight of the net in order to effectively aim over it. Ingenious and practical, the glow-in-the dark volleyball set introduces an illuminating volleyball net which enables consumers to enjoy playing a beloved recreational sport at any time with optimal vision of the net provided. Comprised of two durable glowing poles integrated with solar panels in order to sustain the lighting within; the glow-in-the dark volleyball set additionally features a net consisting of reflective material or LED lights in order to ensure players can have a clear visual of the netting, especially ideal for settings with dim lighting, poor weather, or dark hours of the day. The glow-in-the dark volleyball set is intended to have a tasteful design, inviting consumers to keep the netting in backyards without concerns of unsightly equipment detracting from the appeal of one's home. The glow-in-the dark volleyball set can easily become an essential alternative to traditional volleyball nets, making it possible to be readily available at sporting goods stores and/or online retailers.

However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.

Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention, however the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.

The phrase “in one embodiment” is used repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.

Referring now to FIG. 1, illustrated is a front view of the glow in the dark volleyball set 16, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 1, illustrated is a front view of the glow in the dark volleyball set 16, including a net 10 stretched between two illuminated volleyball poles 12 and illuminated ball 20. The two illuminated volleyball poles 12 may have LED lights 14 disposed on the two poles 12. The glow in the dark volleyball set where the volleyball poles 12 may be illuminated by reflective material. The glow in the dark volleyball set where the volleyball poles 12 may have integrated solar panels to sustain illumination. The net may be illuminated by LED lights or by reflective material.

While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention may be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.

Claims

1. A glow in the dark volleyball set comprising:

a first illuminated volleyball pole, comprising: a first pole section disposed at a base portion of the first illuminated volleyball pole, the first pole section having a first width, and a second pole section disposed at an upper portion of the first illuminated volleyball pole to be attached to a top end of the first pole section, the second pole section having a second width thinner than the first width;
a second illuminated volleyball pole, comprising: a first pole section disposed at a base portion of the second illuminated volleyball pole, the first pole section having a first width, and a second pole section disposed at an upper portion of the second illuminated volleyball pole to be attached to a top end of the first pole section, the second pole section having a second width thinner than the first width; and
an illuminated net stretched between the first and second illuminated volleyball poles with an illuminated ball, such that all portions of the illuminated net are illuminated.

2. The glow in the dark volleyball set according to claim 1, wherein the volleyball poles are illuminated by LED lights.

3. The glow in the dark volleyball set according to claim 1, wherein the volleyball poles are illuminated by reflective material.

4. The glow in the dark volleyball set according to claim 1, wherein the volleyball poles have integrated solar panels to sustain illumination.

5. The glow in the dark volleyball set according to claim 1, wherein the net is illuminated by LED lights.

6. The glow in the dark volleyball set according to claim 1, wherein the net is illuminated by reflective material.
