  • Patent number: 4937858
Abstract: A handset for telephones and the like has electro-acoustical capsules for hearing and speaking, mounted between an upper housing shell and a lower housing shell of the handset. Each of the capsules is connected to the handset cord by a pair of leads received in cutting clamp connections arranged on the rear sides of the hearing and speaking capsules, the opposed housing shells having projections pushing the leads into the cutting clamps. Preferably, the leads are mounted on a foil having openings for the cutting clamps and the projections, and also openings for guide pins, whereby the leads are guided into the cutting clamps when the upper and lower housing shells are brought together on the leads.

  • Patent number: 4937596
Abstract: A head part comprising ink ejection channels in the ink printer head is cast into an outer mount with a rubber-elastic casting compound. A silanization layer is situated on the side of the discharge openings of the ink ejection channels. The hydrophobic effect of this silanization layer is intensified by silicone fluid added before the casting of the casting compound, since the silicone fluid diffusing out of the casting compound and later spreads by creeping and forms a layer of silicone fluid on the silanization layer. The layer of silicone fluid is constantly replenished from the inside of the casting compound. The layer of silicone fluid also simultaneously protects the silanization layer against hydrolysis. The instant invention is suitable for all ink printer heads that operate with aqueous ink.

  • Patent number: 4934568
Abstract: A discharger, particularly intended for the discharge of flowable media, especially pharmaceutical preparations, has a lock for the discharge head (5) in the form of a pump handle, so that the latter cannot be operated in an accidental or unauthorized manner. For this purpose two release handles (24) are provided which must be simultaneously depressed, after which discharge head (5) can be turned with the other hand, so that locking members (22) of the lock do not jump back into their locking position and instead slide on a sliding surface (27) of discharge head (5) during operation. Following the use of discharger (1), discharge head (5) can be rotated back into a position in which the locking members (22) resiliently spring back into their locking position.

  • Patent number: 4934613
Abstract: In this apparatus for crushing brittle material for grinding a size reduction device is arranged between a roller mill ( for pressure crushing) and a screen classifier (for classifying the crushed product) for disagglomeration of the crushed product in round and flat form (agglomerates). For energy-saving and reliable disagglomeration of these agglomerates the size reduction device has an inlet section with feed arrangements for agglomerates and fluid as well as turbulence section, so that the agglomerates can be intensively intermixed and at least partially broken up in the first section and completely disagglomerated in the second section, whereupon a feed pump feeds the dissagglomerated crushed product to the screen classifier as a fluid suspension without clogging.

  • Patent number: 4928660
Abstract: A protective case (13) for a vehicle ignition system covers both the ignition coil (5), an electronic control device (6), and the terminals (11) and connecting conductors (12) therebetween. The preferred material is plastic, with an electromagnetically conducting coating for screening against incoming and outing electromagnetic noise. Thus, protection is provided against mechanical, chemical, and electromagnetic environmental influences. The case is dimensioned to snap over and seal respective edges of the electronic control device (6), the ignition coil (5) and its core (8), the electrical terminals (11), and the interconnecting conductors (12). The case is bifurcated along an access slit (16) which is secured in a normally closed position by knob (15) which press-fits into a mating hole on the other side of the slit. Two sides of the case have curved ridges or dimples which provide flexibility to hinge the case open for insertion of the ignition coil (5) and electronic control device (6).

  • Patent number: 4929227
Abstract: A centrifuge drum for separating mixtures of liquids, especially for separating refrigerated milk into cream and skim milk, with an intake pipe secured to a stationary housing to supply refrigerated milk to a separation space in the centrifuge drum and a pealing disk for diverting the separated skim milk. The pealing disk is positioned in a pealing chamber that communicates through channels with the periphery of the separation space. A diversion chamber is disposed between the separation space and the pealing chamber that communicates with the center of the separation space and has a diversion channel for diverting the cream into a stationary interception chamber. The pealing chamber is positioned axially between the diversion chamber and the interception chamber and the diversion channel is positioned concentric with the axis of rotation of the drum, whereby the diversion channel extends radially outward from the diversion chamber, through the center of the pealing disk, and into the interception chamber.

  • Patent number: 4928377
Abstract: A machine tool having a machine frame open on three sides in the shape of the letter C, comprising an upper die support, disposed on the machine frame and vertically movable by a drive cradle, with at least two die holding fixtures placed side by side and having corresponding upper dies, a lower die support disposed on the machine frame with a corresponding number of die holding fixtures placed side by side and having corresponding lower dies, and a matrix plate clamped on the lower die support, disposed in a frame containing the die holding fixtures. In this configurement, it is possible to use a self-guided tool unit in an equally flexible manner as the normal upper and lower dies, by disposing, instead of a lower die, a tool unit comprising an upper die and a lower die contained in a guide frame, such as a cutting unit or a coping unit, on a matrix plate in a corresponding die holding fixture, and to drivingly couple it with the upper die support.

  • Patent number: 4926992
Abstract: An electromagnetically operable friction-disk clutch for an impeller of a fan, in particular of motor vehicle internal-combustion engines, is proposed, in which the impeller can be driven at engine speed and two different windmilling speeds. To produce the engine speed, a first electromagnetic friction-disk clutch (4) is provided, which drives the impeller (2) via an armature ring (15) and an impeller hub (17). A lower windmilling speed is generated by a second electromagnetic friction-disk clutch (6) via an eddy-current coupling (7). A special, integral stepped ball bearing (19) serves for this purpose, the intermediate ring (22) of which serves as drive flange (22) for the eddy current coupling (7).
