  • Patent number: 9822469
Abstract: In the production of a tubular fiber arrangement as an intermediate product for a composite part, the local conditions are taken into account in an especially simple and reliable manner with respect to the geometry of the composite part and its load profile. When forming the composite part on a core, the fiber mass supplied during the formation of the tube is proportional to the local circumference of the composite part which results from the diameter. The advancement speed of the core remains substantially constant.

  • Patent number: 5515672
Abstract: Because of the pot spinning process, it is more difficult to automate the supply of empty tubes, respooling of the spinning cake on an empty tube, and the removal of the spinning cops in a pot spinning machine than with other spinning processors. The present invention provides a completely automatic exchange of spinning cops for empty tubes at the spinning stations of a pot spinning machine by utilizing the yarn guides of pot spinning stations to place full yarn cops produced thereat into an upright position on carriers located on a movable conveyor extending underneath the spinning pots. With the spinning cops deposited onto the conveyor and with the yarn guide returned to a spinning position, the conveyor can transport the carriers with the spinning cops away and can deliver empty tubes to the spinning stations for receipt by the yarn guides to continue the spinning process.

  • Patent number: 5289675
Abstract: A pot spinning assembly comprises a spinning pot and a yarn guide extending into the spinning pot. A controlled drive causes a relative motion between the spinning pot and the yarn guide during a spinning process. Yarn is deposited in layers on the inner wall of the spinning pot and a spinning cake is formed. The spinning pot is displaced along its longitudinal central axis between an upper end position and a lower end position. An outlet opening of the yarn guide is located in the vicinity of the lower edge region of the spinning pot when it is in the upper end position. A yarn holder for receiving yarn from the spinning pot, and a substantially horizontal transport apparatus for moving the yarn holder to the spinning pot for rewinding the spinning cake onto the yarn holder is provided. The transport apparatus moves the yarn holder away from the spinning pot when it is in the upper end position.

  • Patent number: 5184786
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling the yarn tension of yarn being cross-wound onto a bobbin on a textile winding machine. The amount of yarn on a supply package from which yarn is unwound is determined optoelectronically, gravimetrically or by measuring the yarn tension. The winding speed of the bobbin is adjusted in response to the determined yarn amount of the supply package so as to maintain the yarn tension substantially constant during unwinding. The winding speed of the bobbin can be controlled to follow a predetermined winding speed program which corresponds to the determined mass of the supply bobbin. To determine the yarn amount gravimetrically, the supply package is weighed by a balance device as it is conveyed thereover by a conveyor. The movement of the balance in response to the mass of the supply package can be electronically transmitted to a control device which prepositions a cam having a profile corresponding to the predetermined winding speed program.

  • Patent number: 5131219
Abstract: A spinning machine for ring, hopper or cap spinning with a revolver, yarn carriers retained in pairs on the revolver, and a ring traveler, hopper or cap system with a spinning ring, hopper or cap for the yarn carriers. One yarn carrier of a pair of yarn carriers having a finished cop in a spinning position is released from a ring traveler, hopper or cap system after the end of a spinning cycle. The finished cop is rotated through 180.degree. about the axis of the revolver for moving the one yarn carrier of the pair of yarn carriers to a doffing position while moving the other yarn carrier of the pair of yarn carriers to the spinning position and spinning yarn onto the other yarn carrier. The ring traveler, hopper or cap system is mounted on the other yarn carrier once the spinning position is reached. Yarn travel from the one yarn carrier in the doffing position to the spinning ring, hopper or cap is maintained.

  • Patent number: 4976099
Abstract: A sliver feeding and opening device includes an outlet opening for passage of separated fibers to the rotor and an intake opening for the intaking of sliver to be separated into fibers. An intermediate opening is disposed in the chamber of the housing of the device at a location downstream of the outlet opening and upstream of the intake opening. An air stream reduction conduit extends from the intermediate opening to the outlet passage. The intermediate opening and the air stream reduction conduit conduct air from a revolving stream of air which revolves in the space between the opening roller and the cylindrical wall of the housing of the sliver feeding and opening device to prevent the revolving stream of air from detrimentally interfering with the orderly feeding of sliver at the intake opening to the opening roller.
