  • Patent number: 4245124
Abstract: The invention concerns to new (isocamph-5-yl)-guaiacyl ethers of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is an isocamph-5-yl radical in the 6- or 4-position relative to the ethoxy group;a process for their preparation and their use for the preparation of 3-(isocamph-5-yl)-cyclohexanol which is an important constituent of sandal compound.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4241018
Abstract: In known apparatus with exchangeable burettes, a supply cylinder and its associated storage container were arranged on a palette. When the titrating medium was to be changed, the palette had to be removed from the operating unit and replaced by another palette carrying the storage container and associated cylinder with the changed medium. Handling is facilitated and changing of the titrating medium is accelerated with the arrangement of the invention wherein each cylinder has its associated storage container and the cylinder can be stored on the container. On use, a selected cylinder is directly mounted on the operating unit.

  • Patent number: 4235826
Abstract: The invention concerns new [isocamph-5-yl]-guaiacyl esters of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents an isocamph-5-yl radical located in the 2-position or 4-position relative to the OAc group and Ac represents a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphonyl or di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-phosphoryl radical; a process for their preparation and their use for the preparation of 3-[isocamph-5-yl]-cyclo-hexanol which is an important constituent of sandal compound.

  • Patent number: 4113436
Abstract: Operating stations of an automatic analysis apparatus are arranged along a path in which a specimen to be analyzed is moved in a container on a carrier. The specimen is transferred from the carrier to a container supporting platform of each station where it is to be processed, thereby permitting another specimen to by-pass the same station. Different sequences of operations may be performed simultaneously on several specimens without interfering with each other.

  • Patent number: 4096972
Abstract: An apparatus for the selective delivery of portions of fluid, comprising a plurality of fluid delivery units, each of which includes a respective conveyor for conveying fluid to be delivered. A common drive means for the plurality of delivery units which is selectively connectible to the respective conveyor thereof for selective actuation of the delivery units.

  • Patent number: 4015155
Abstract: The invention is directed to a base and cover arrangement for an electric machine. The cover is insulated against structure-borne sound and the machine with its base and cover arrangement is configured of elements which can be assembled by the building block principle. The stator of the machine includes pressure plates, tightening devices and the lamination stack. The base and cover arrangement includes a base structure and a cover including side members and a central upper cap. This central upper cap covers a cut-out which is provided in the end-face walls of the side members and which encompasses the shaft of the machine, permitting the stator and the rotor to be lifted out upwardly. The rotor rests in pedestal-type bearings which are also mounted on the base structure. The cover side members as well as the central upper cap are made in different configurations so as to be suited for different types of protection.

  • Patent number: 3957274
Abstract: The invention is directed to a sealing arrangement for a machine with a cover having a shaft lead-through for accommodating the shaft, the cover being installed so as to be insulated against structure-borne sound. The machine is equipped with a bearing located outside of the cover and bearing has an end-face facing the cover. The sealing arrangement provides a seal between the bearing and cover and includes two seals which are mounted at the bearing end-face facing the cover so as to be in sealing contact with the shaft. The seals are spaced from each other and located on a ring-shaped part. An annular member is arranged on this ring-shaped part so as to be axially movable and has a flange whose end-face covers the shaft lead-through of the cover and rests in an elastic seal-tight manner against the end-face of the cover.

  • Patent number: 3953863
Abstract: In a method for focusing a reproducing objective, such as may be used for measuring distances, wherein multiplication of the image of the entrance pupil is achieved by image-splitting optical elements mounted in the plane of the object image, the improvement comprising:Projecting the light fluxes from different parts of the pupil image plane on separate sets or groups of photoelectric receivers, deriving a signal from the comparison of the output signals from these receiver groups and using this signal as a criterion for focusing as a function of magnitude and sign. Apparatus for performing the method includes a grid of prisms or pyramids, and a beam splitter for directing light through two separate photoelectric receiver masks.
