  • Patent number: 4082320
Abstract: A pipe coupling for joining the ends of two pipes together while permitting a certain angle to exist between the pipe axes, the coupling including a housing member associated with one pipe end, a plug-in member associated with the other pipe end and arranged to be inserted into the housing member to form a sealing connection therewith; two ring elements located within one of the members and together defining an inwardly directed bearing surface having the form of a spherical segment, the bearing surface portions defined by the two elements being axially spaced apart, and the pipe end associated with the one member presenting an outwardly directed bearing surface having the form of a spherical segment conforming to, and fitting closely with, the inwardly directed bearing surface.

  • Patent number: 4074913
Abstract: A device for releasable fastening of tube or pipe ends comprising two shell parts joined together at one end by a pivot bolt and at the other end by a locking arrangement hinged by another pivot bolt, a connecting tube arrangement associated with the two shell parts for receiving a tube or pipe end, the two shell parts cooperating with the tube or pipe end to retain it in connection with the connecting tube arrangement and a mounting having a central opening by means of which it is located around the connecting tube arrangement, a slot extending from the central opening with a circular path along part of its length and for receiving one of the pivot bolts and an outwardly opening recess in a region opposite to the circular part of the slot for receiving the other pivot bolt.

  • Patent number: 4027698
Abstract: A valve comprises a valve housing, a first bearing sleeve defining an inlet passage, a second bearing sleeve defining a main outlet passage and a third sleeve defining a secondary outlet passage, all in the valve housing, and a generally spherical valve closure member co-operating with the sleeves, having a passage therethrough for connecting the main outlet passage with the inlet passage in an open position of the valve in which the secondary outlet passage is closed and having a recess extending from the valve passage for connecting the main and secondary outlets when the valve is in a closed position.

  • Patent number: 3979143
Abstract: A device for detachably fastening hose or pipe ends comprises a plurality of curved part shells, the adjacent ends of two of which are connected by a clamping lever lock and the remaining adjacent ends of which are flexibly connected together, a clamping lever of the clamping lever lock being flexibly mounted on the first of the said two part shells and a spring of the clamping lever lock being mounted on the lever and acting on the second of the two part shells, the second shell having a bridging-piece for hooking into an inner side of the first part shell.

  • Patent number: 3937498
Abstract: A casing has a pair of shell sections which are hingedly movable relative to one another between an open and a closed position. A pair of elongated nozzles extends longitudinally of a parting line of the shell sections and is arranged side by side in the casing. A mounting member is provided in the shell sections extending normal to the elongation of the nozzles and connecting the latter. The shell sections are formed with recesses into which portions of the mounting member extend. Arcuate flanges are provided on the shell sections and are so configurated as to be concentric with the respective nozzles when the shell sections are in closed position, and to press a hose slipped onto such nozzle against the same. A tensioning arrangement is provided for drawing the shell sections together when they are in closed position.

  • Patent number: 3937501
Abstract: A pipe coupling for coupling two pipe ends with annular flanges spaced from the end faces of the pipe ends comprises a plurality of part shells the adjacent ends of two of which are connected by a clamping lever lock and the remaining adjacent ends of which are flexibly connected together, means in the part shells for engaging behind the annular flanges on the pipe ends and a coupling sleeve slidable in the pipe ends between the flanges and having annular seals, sealing the pipe ends to the coupling sleeve.
