  • Patent number: 7631930
Abstract: A vehicle seat assembly includes a seat bottom and a seat back connected to the seat bottom. A reclining mechanism is configured to adjustably position the seat back. A head restraint assembly includes a head restraint and one or more supports pivotally connected to and cooperating with the seat back to position the head restraint adjacent an occupant's head. A headrest adjustment mechanism includes a spring connected to the one or more supports that biases the shaft from an unlocked toward a locked position and a release mechanism cooperating with the one or more supports which allows the one or more supports to be unlocked so that the headrest can be adjusted relative to the seat back.

  • Publication number: 20090250833
Abstract: Processes comprising: providing a mold; providing an insert having a shape such that it fits exactly into the mold, and applying one or more layers selected from top coats and films (A) to the insert; placing the insert into the mold; introducing a polyurethane reactive mixture (D) into the insert; curing the polyurethane reactive mixture to form a polyurethane molding; and removing the polyurethane molding and insert from the mold.

  • Publication number: 20080315653
Abstract: A head restraint system includes a vehicle seat comprising a seat back and a seat bottom. The system further includes a head restraint guide positioned in the seat back. The head restraint guide is adapted to hold a head restraint at a selectable position. The system further includes a first and second gear rack and a gear system adapted to contact the first and second gear racks and move said gears tracks in a relative linear manner. The first gear rack is attached to the head restraint guide while the second gear rack is fixed relative to the seat back. An actuator system drives the gear system such that positioning of the seat back in a folded position causes the head restraint guide and the head restraint positioned therein to be lowered.

  • Publication number: 20070131347
Abstract: A method of forming a fabric covered article includes providing a substrate and trim cover laminate. The trim cover laminate includes a trim cover portion and a heat-activated adhesive portion laminated to a B-side surface of the trim cover portion, the adhesive portion defining an exposed surface. The exposed surface of the adhesive portion is exposed to heat, thereby activating the adhesive portion. The substrate is positioned onto the activated adhesive portion of the trim cover laminate to bring the substrate and the trim cover portion into contact with one another, thereby forming a fabric covered article.

  • Patent number: 5490383
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for pressure control of an adjustable pump for a hydraulic system including at least a load. Depending on the size of the system, i.e. the servo cylinder, hydrostatic machine and the line tubing, the fluid volume contained in the system between the adjustable pump and the low pressure side of the load is largely different. In controlling the load pressure in such a system, for example a press or a molding machine for plastic material, a pressure controller adaptively and automatically adjusts the damping factor of the controller and thus the controlling quality independent of the fluid volume of the system to a constant value. It is a benefit of the invention that all adjusting operations of the pressure controller are eliminated which have been necessary heretofore to obtain an appropriate control of the fluid system.
