  • Publication number: 20150116668
Abstract: A projector includes a light source, a filter unit, an auxiliary light source and a combiner. The light source produces a first beam of light having light in a plurality of ranges of wavelengths, corresponding to a plurality of colors. The filter unit is positioned in the optical path of the first light beam. The filter unit is configured in a first configuration during a first time interval and in a second configuration during a second time interval. When the filter unit is configured in the second configuration, the auxiliary light source produces a second beam of light. The combiner combines the first beam of light and the second beam of light. The combined beams of light are directed to a spatial light modulator.

  • Patent number: 9019072
Abstract: A remote control device is authorized to command the presentation of information from an information presenting device by communicating with the information presenting device by a first mode of communications while the remote control device and the information presenting device are proximate. In response to the authorizing, the information presenting device is unlocked to permit the presentation of information in response to commands from the remote control device. After the unlocking, the information presenting device presents information in response to commands from the remote control device.

  • Publication number: 20140300747
Abstract: A projector includes an infrared generator, an infrared camera, an infrared control module, and a controller. The infrared generator provides an infrared curtain on a screen that the projector projects an image. The infrared camera detects a selection of an icon on a control strip located within the infrared curtain. The infrared control module is in communication with the infrared generator and the infrared camera, and determines a coordinate position within the infrared curtain associated with the selection of the icon on the control strip. The controller is in communication with the infrared control module, and determines a command for the projector based on the coordinate position of the selection of the icon, and executes the command.

  • Publication number: 20140215559
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a request for wireless connection from a supplicant device via a service path. The service path includes a peer-to-peer communication path. The method further includes, based on an indication received from the supplicant device, adapting an authentication method to the supplicant device. The adapting includes selecting at least one authentication factor from a plurality of supported authentication factors. Each of the plurality of supported authentication factors comprises an authentication path that is distinct from the service path. In addition, the method includes authenticating the supplicant device via each of the at least one authentication factor.

  • Publication number: 20140215585
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes establishing a connection with an access-point (AP) device via a first communication path. The method further includes establishing a connection with a proxy device for the AP device via a second communication path that is distinct from the first communication path. In addition, the method includes determining a set of connection credentials maintained by the AP device. Furthermore, the method includes determining a set of connection credentials maintained by the proxy device. Additionally, the method includes identifying a correct set of connection credentials. The correct set includes at least one of the first set and the second set. The method also includes synchronizing the first set and the second set according to the correct set.

  • Publication number: 20140176513
Abstract: An interactive device includes a first sensor, a first button, an accelerometer, a processor, and a transmitter. The first sensor is configured to receive coordinate information from a coordinate projection of a projector. The first button is configured to transmit an erase signal when the first button is pressed. The accelerometer is configured to provide angle information for the interactive device. The processor is in communication with the first sensor, with the first button, and with the accelerometer. The processor configured to receive the coordinate information from the first sensor, to receive the erase signal from the first button, to receive the angle information from the accelerometer, and to generate erase information based on the coordinate information, the erase signal, and the angle information. The transmitter is in communication with the processor, and is configured to transmit a delete request including the erase information received from the processor to the projector.
