Abstract: This is to provide an image processing apparatus and others capable of ensuring security by shortening the connecting time of an external recording medium when a plurality of jobs including target data pieces encrypted with shared keys and the shared keys encrypted with a user's public key are executed. A job including a target data piece encrypted with a shared key and the shared key encrypted with a user's public key are received and stored in a job storage. To execute the plurality of jobs stored therein, the encrypted shared keys included in the respective jobs are decrypted with a secret key by the external recording medium. After completely obtaining all the plurality of decrypted shared keys, the target data pieces are decrypted with their matching decrypted shared keys, and then the jobs are executed.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus has a first device driver and a second device driver installed thereon to use a first device and a second device, respectively. When the first device driver is activated, an operation setting screen to perform operation setting for the first device is displayed on a display portion. If a user changes the target device from the first device to the second device while performs operation setting via the operation setting screen, the second device driver for the second device takes over a value set using the first device driver and recorded in a memory.

Abstract: When a user activates a printer driver recorded in a memory of an information processing apparatus, a setting screen to configure operation setting for the printer driver's matching image forming apparatus is displayed on a display of the information processing apparatus, and in the setting screen, an instruction portion to give an instruction to show the documents stored in a memory area of the image forming apparatus is shown. And when the user gives an instruction by using the instruction portion, a request to show the documents is transmitted to the image forming apparatus. Receiving the request, the image forming apparatus returns to the information processing apparatus, reference information to select a document among those stored in the memory area. And then, a selection screen to select a document among those stored therein is displayed on the display, based on the reference information received from the image forming apparatus.

Abstract: It is recognized that an attached USB memory is an unanalyzable USB memory. Then, disconnect setting is made. A USB connection process is performed. A PC is instructed through a connection line to establish USB connection. The PC recognizes that the attached device is a USB-connected MFP. The PC acquires data control information of the MFP. The MFP then transfers, through the connection line, the data control information output from the USB memory.

Abstract: A presentation system comprises a data management apparatus for storing document data for presentation therein, a display device for displaying a plurality of pages contained in the document data, and a terminal device capable of performing communication with the data management apparatus. The terminal device sends request data for requesting attachment of an electronic sticky note to the document data to the data management apparatus via network communication according to an input from a listening user of the presentation. The data management apparatus determines a sticky-note attachment object page out of the plurality of pages, to which the electronic sticky note is to be attached, on the basis of page specifying data included in the request data. Then, the data management apparatus generates a file in which the electronic sticky note is attached to the determined sticky-note attachment object page.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes: an accepter that accepts a complex job including a plurality of jobs to be executed cooperatively by a plurality of image processing apparatuses including this image processing apparatus itself; a job controller that makes the plurality of image processing apparatuses including this image processing apparatus itself, cooperatively execute the plurality of jobs included in the accepted complex job; a job administrator that administers execution states of the respective jobs included in the complex job and generates job information pieces indicating job details and execution states of the respective jobs; and a memory that records in itself the generated job information pieces.

Abstract: If a job executed on the data to be processed is stopped due to interruption of a wireless communication with an image processing apparatus and a portable terminal, which happens to occur while the image processing apparatus is receiving the data to be processed, which is transmitted by the portable terminal, the image processing apparatus examines if the portable terminals connected before and after stop of the job execution are one and the same, and requests the portable terminal to retransmit the data to be processed. And then the image processing apparatus resumes executing the job on the data to be processed, which is retransmitted in response to the request.

Abstract: A document data update information providing system has a document data accumulation apparatus and an image forming apparatus interconnected via a network. The document data accumulation apparatus creates update information of document data selectively among those accumulated in the document data accumulation apparatus, by an update information creator. The image forming apparatus transmits a request for update information of document data, thereby obtains the selectively created update information and displays it on a display.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus has a server cooperation function to transmit data to a data processing server connected therewith via a network and receive processed data after the server performs data processing, and is capable of communicating with a plurality of external apparatuses via the network by establishing concurrent connections. A judger judges whether or not the number of the currently established connections with the external apparatuses reaches a limit number of connections that is an allowed upper limit of concurrent connections, and a controller reserves a connection with the data processing server if the judger judges that the number of the currently established connections with the external apparatuses does not reach the limit number of connections during execution of the server cooperation function, and cancels the reserved connection with the data processing server after the end of the execution of the server cooperation function.

Abstract: Upon accepting, from a user B, a new registration of a configuration showing that the user B wishes to receive data via a FAX, a server sets a notification flag to an address book of a user A which includes an address of the user B. Upon accepting a login of the user A, an MFP displays a message to notify the user A of the new registration by the user B, based on the notification flag. The user A, who has notified of the new registration, can transmit the data to the user B with use of the new registration configured by the user B, namely via a FAX. Accordingly, the user B can receive the data via a FAX as the user B wishes.

Abstract: The subject matter of the present invention described herein is an image transmission system in which an image transmission apparatus uses configuration that has been set in a server. The image transmission apparatus acquires identifiers from the server, and displays the identifiers on a UI screen based on the acquired identifiers. Upon receiving a selection from the UI screen, the image transmission apparatus acquires an address corresponding to the selected identifier from the server, and uses the address for transmission of image data.

Abstract: An image transmission apparatus is high in convenience, operability and reliability when newly registering a transmission destination to an address book. Abstract: An image transmission system includes an image transmission device and a server that provides recipient information including recipient specification information and a transmission method and destination for image data. The server records, in association with a recipient identifier, recipient-designated recipient information and display mode designation information indicating a display mode for the recipient information. Each time the recipient information and display mode designation information is updated, the server overwrites the recorded information with the updated recipient information and display mode designation information.

Abstract: Personal address books of users are stored in an address server. Each user registers, with the personal address book of his/her own, conditions (transmission conditions) that should be satisfied when other users transmit image data to the user. The conditions are registered in correspondence with addresses of the other users. When one of the other users transmits (as a transmission source) to the user (as a transmission destination) who has set the transmission conditions, from an MFP, the transmission conditions, which were set by the transmission destination user with respect to the transmitter, are downloaded from the address server to the transmission source MFP. And then the MFP transmits the image data to the transmission destination user under the downloaded transmission conditions. Abstract: An address list management apparatus stores, for each user of an MFP (Multi Function Peripheral), a different address list that lists address information pieces for transmission of image data by the MFP. Upon being instructed by a logged-in user to transmit image data, the MFP transmits, to the address list management apparatus, a request for the address list that specifies the user. Upon receiving the request, the address list management apparatus transmits, to the MFP, a sending list pertaining to the user. The sending list is created by deleting secret information from address information pieces in the address list, and modifying such address information pieces so that image data is transmitted to the address list management apparatus. The address list management apparatus refers to the address list, and transfers the image data to the specified address.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus (2) capable of providing a box for each user is provided. Abstract: An image processing apparatus is provided with an original data management portion that stores original image data for reproducing an original image, a mask extraction portion that acquires a mask image executed in the original image written on paper, and a printing unit that prints an image obtained by overlaying the original image and the mask image extracted by the extraction portion. The original image is reproduced based on the original image data, which is called from the original data management portion based on an identifier for identifying the original image written on that paper. Thus, it is possible to copy an original without causing image quality to deteriorate, and with information concealed.
