  • Patent number: 5907659
Abstract: A multimedia optical disc for recording main video data which is composed of sets of frame data that is processed beforehand to enable display at an aspect ratio specified out of a plurality of aspect ratios. The disc has a stream area storing streams made up of the main video data and a plurality of sets of sub-picture data, with each set of sub-picture data including a set of tel-op data and a set of coordinate information showing a display position of the set of tel-op data. The disc also includes a control area storing a plurality of pairings of a set of display mode information and a set of sub-picture indicating information. Each set of display mode information shows a species of display method according to which the frame data is to be processed for a case when the frame data decoded from the main video data is displayed at one of the plurality of aspect ratios.

  • Patent number: 5576736
Abstract: A visually effective image switching apparatus includes a frame memory unit for storing image data for one picture and a decoder for expanding a compressed image data and for outputting the expanded image data. Also included is a graphic memory controller for writing the expanded image data outputted from the decoder directly in the frame memory unit. An I/O access unit is also provided for selecting whether the expanded image data is to be written or not written at the present address of the frame memory. A local bus unit is also provided for transferring the expanded image data to the graphic memory controller. The timing of the decoder, the graphic memory controller and the I/O access unit are controlled by a CPU unit.

  • Patent number: 5301617
Abstract: A parallel traveling control system detects distances to a guide rail provided on a road surface of a traveling lane or set close thereto, and drives the brake pressures in such a direction that the distances between the vehicle and the guide rail coincide with set values. Additionally, the system detects the rotation of the steering wheel, designates automatic parallel traveling in which the brake pressures are driven to correct the vehicle's direction, and terminates automatic parallel traveling when the steering wheel is rotated more than a predetermined angle.

  • Patent number: 5029892
Abstract: A hydraulic suspension control device includes a real yaw-rate detector means for detecting angular velocity around a vertical axis of a vehicle body and a vehicle speed detector for detecting the vehicle speed and a wheel angular detector for detecting the front wheel angle and a target yaw-rate calculation for calculating the target yaw-rate using signal values from the vehicle speed detector and the wheel angle detector. The electric control device includes a driving circuit which is set to receive a signal of deviation between the real yaw-rate and the target yaw-rate and controls an actuator having a pressure valve and a hydraulic cylinder both of which are controlled by the electric control device so that an instability yawing in vehicle movement such as rear wheel side slips can be prevented during the vehicle turning movement.
