  • Patent number: 5186682
Abstract: In a vehicular air conditioning system, an air-distribution ratio control range is determined in accordance with a set rotational speed of a blower and the air distribution ratio is controlled in accordance with a solar radiation direction within the control range, whereby more comfortable air conditioning can be realized. The system may be arranged in such a way that the correction amount of air discharge in the case where the direction of the solar radiation is not within the a prescribed range is less than that in the case where the direction is within the perscribed range, in order to prevent unnecessarily large amount of air discharge.

  • Patent number: 5148685
Abstract: In an air conditioner including a variable-capacity compressor, a control system performs a PI calculation based on a temperature deviation between the actual temperature of the air downstream of an evaporator and its target temperature, thereby determining a control amount for controlling the capacity of the compressor. It is judged whether or not the sum of a proportional control component and an integral control component exceeds a limit value of the control amount corresponding to the maximum capacity of the compressor. If this judgment is in the affirmative, an ordinary integral calculation is stopped, and the integral control component is determined by subtracting the proportional control component from this limit value.

  • Patent number: 5074123
Abstract: An air conditioning control system for an automotive vehicle having an internal combustion engine. A variable capacity compressor has a pump having displacement thereof variable in response to a change in pressure within a controlled pressure chamber, a communication passage communicating between a low pressure chamber and the controlled pressure chamber, and a valve disposed to vary an opening area of the communication passage. An electromagnetic clutch connects and disconnects the compressor to and from the engine. An evaporator is connected to the compressor. A control unit controls the capacity of the compressor by supplying the valve with control current normally set within a predetermined range, to vary the opening area of the communication passage such that the temperature of outlet air from the evaporator becomes equal to a desired value.

  • Patent number: 5056421
Abstract: An automobile air-conditioner wherein a direction of the sunlight coming into the passanger compartment of an automobile is detected, and if a deviated solar radiation is present, air-distribution is controlled to increase and decrease the quantity of air discharged from upper air outlets according to the detected solar radiating direction, while at the same time, louvers disposed in the respective air outlets are directed to an occupant to force conditioned air directly against the occupant. In the absence of the deviated solar radiation, the louvers are not directed to the occupant.
