  • Publication number: 20090215333
Abstract: An engine is disposed in a top cowling. Burned gas produced in the engine is discharged to the outside through a first exhaust pipe, a second exhaust pipe, a third exhaust pipe, exhaust passage, and a exhaust passage. A catalyst is disposed to be housed in the first exhaust pipe and the second exhaust pipe. The first exhaust pipe and the second exhaust pipe are disposed in the top cowling. A fan is provided above the catalyst. As a result of this unique structure, a temperature increase in the cowling is prevented from being caused by heat radiated from the catalyst.

  • Patent number: 7216614
Abstract: A fuel supply device can have a low pressure fuel pump that supplies fuel to a vapor separator tank positioned adjacent to an engine from a main fuel tank disposed in a hull. An electrically operated primary fuel pump (e.g., a primer pump) and a check valve can both be positioned parallel to each other and between the main fuel tank and the low pressure fuel pump. A control device can be connected to the primary fuel pump for operating the primary fuel pump only for a preset fuel supply time when starting the engine is attempted and prior to the start of the engine.

  • Patent number: 7216281
Abstract: There is provided a semiconductor test apparatus which assuredly detects an inhibited edge only which affects a test pattern and truly requires an error warning. This semiconductor test apparatus includes: a real time selector which receives a plurality of sets of waveform data, receives a plurality of sets of timing data, selects and outputs predetermined waveform data and timing data, inhibits a next edge immediately following the current edge and outputs an inhibiting signal when an edge with the same polarity which is continuous in an interval shorter than a proximity limit time exists in the waveform data; and a detector which receives the waveform data, the timing data and the open signal, and outputs fail signal when an edge with a polarity reverse to that of an inhibited edge exists in the proximity limit time before the inhibited edge.

  • Patent number: 7185630
Abstract: An engine includes a throttling device configured for both mechanical and electrical control. For example, the throttling device can include a throttle cable connection assembly configured to allow a throttle valve shaft of the throttling device to be controlled by movement of throttle cables and an electronic control section configured to allow the throttle valve to be moved by an electronic actuator. The throttling device can include a connector member configured to selectively engage and disengage the mechanical control section from the throttle valve shaft so as to allow the electrical control section to adjust the throttle valve shaft without resistance from the mechanical control section. The engine can also include a switch for indicating to an electronic controller whether or not the mechanical control section is engaged with a throttle valve shaft.

  • Patent number: 6905382
Abstract: A marine drive has a propulsion device. A transmission is coupled with the propulsion device. A shift mechanism moves the transmission between a first position in which the propulsion device is set to a first mode and a second position in which the propulsion device is set to a second mode. The shift mechanism has a shift unit movable between a first shift position and a second shift position. The transmission moves to the first position while the shift unit moves toward the first shift position, and moves to the second position while the shift unit moves toward the second shift position. An electrically operable shift actuator is supported by the drive body. The shift actuator has an actuating member that preferably is detachably coupled with the shift unit.
