  • Patent number: 11457286
Abstract: A generation unit generates a plurality of pieces of segment data, and appends an index to each of the plurality of pieces of segment data in a predetermined order. Each piece of the segment data corresponds to each predetermined time period of video data. A reception unit receives, from an external apparatus, an acquisition request which is for the external apparatus to acquire segment data and designate an index of the segment data. In a case where an index of segment data which is generated after a lapse of a predetermined time period or longer from a time when the acquisition request is received by the reception unit is designated by the acquisition request, the generation unit appends the index designated by the acquisition request to the segment data regardless of the predetermined order.

  • Patent number: 9467639
Abstract: Waiting-for-transmission fragments that cannot be transmitted by a transmission unit due to the interruption of transmission by the transmission unit are stored. In accordance with the waiting-for-transmission fragments, a fragment to be transmitted prior to a first fragment including an intra-coded frame is eliminated from the waiting-for-transmission fragments. The transmission unit is controlled so that the first fragment is transmitted at the resumption of transmission.

  • Patent number: 8095228
Abstract: This invention has as its object to be able to maintain constant audio data transmission intervals even when video and audio data are transmitted to many users. A group number is assigned to each user, and every time data is generated, it is stored in buffers having different start positions. When a predetermined number of data can be stored, a transmission process to clients is executed. Hence, the load on the transmission processes can be distributed to the number of groups, and the difference of the transmission intervals of audio data can be minimized.

  • Publication number: 20090265462
Abstract: A monitoring apparatus receives information about a storage condition of monitoring data from a management apparatus via a network, and acquires at least one of image data and audio data as the monitoring data. The monitoring apparatus detects a communication state with the management apparatus, and performs control to store the monitoring data which is determined to satisfy the storage condition into a storage device that is other than the management apparatus according to the detected communication state.

  • Patent number: 7023805
Abstract: A communication connecting device includes a terminal unit controller for temporarily storing data received from a sending terminal unit. A packetizer/depacketizer collectively codes the data sequentially read out in accordance with size information fed from a size information storage. The packetizer/depacketizer determines whether or not the current data is the last one of a continues sequence of data and delivers, if the answer of the decision is positive, a detection signal to a frequency-of-transmission monitor. A UDPTL controller feeds additional data read out of the buffer to the frequency-of-transmission monitor in accordance with ITU-T Recommendation T.38. In response to the detection signal, the monitor outputs a control signal such that the coded data not sent a preselected number of times are repeatedly read out of the buffer and retransmitted the preselected number of times.

  • Patent number: 7012920
Abstract: In an Internet facsimile apparatus, a facsimile controller temporarily stores data received from a G3 (Group 3) facsimile apparatus or the other terminal unit to communicate with. A packetizer/depacketizer packetizes the data sequentially read out in accordance with size information fed from a size information storage and feeds the resulting packets to a UDPTL controller and a buffer. The packetizer/depacketizer determines whether data received from the other terminal unit and decoded is a response to data sent from the G3 facsimile apparatus or retransmitted data, and delivers a response detection signal representative of the result of decision to the UDPTL controller. In the UDPTL controller, a filtering circuit deletes stored past data in accordance with the response detection signal representative of a response. The apparatus reduces a load on an IP (Internet Protocol) network.

  • Patent number: 6977945
Abstract: During G3FAX communication with an IP network 30, a FAX adapter 10 controls a packet size data storage 100d with the use of a control signal 14, generated by a packet size controller 10e, to adjust the packet size of FAX data sent from a G3FAX 20 according to delay information 12f from the IP network 30. When sending data to the IP network 30, the adapter 10 allows the size of a packet to be adjusted in response to the delay information 12f sent from the IP network 30, thus resolving a discrepancy in transfer speed.
