  • Publication number: 20050278166
Abstract: This invention has as its object to be able to maintain constant audio data transmission intervals even when video and audio data are transmitted to many users. A group number is assigned to each user, and every time data is generated, it is stored in buffers having different start positions. When a predetermined number of data can be stored, a transmission process to clients is executed. Hence, the load on the transmission processes can be distributed to the number of groups, and the difference of the transmission intervals of audio data can be minimized.

  • Patent number: 6975420
Abstract: A communication connecting device includes a terminal unit controller for temporarily storing data received from a sending terminal unit. A packetizer/depacketizer collectively codes the data sequentially read out in accordance with size information fed from a size information storage. The packetizer/depacketizer determines whether or not the data is control data and delivers, if the answer of the decision is positive, a notification control signal to a control data monitor. A UDPTL (facsimile User Datagram Protocol Transport Layer protocol) controller feeds a UDPTL packet input from the packetizer/depacketizer to the control data monitor in accordance with ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union-Telecommunication standardization sector) Recommendation T.38. The control data monitor repeatedly sends the UDPTL packet on the basis of the notification control signal.

  • Patent number: 6886027
Abstract: A multimedia communication apparatus includes a system controller which determines how to process, during call processing, destination information received from a user controller based on information from a data storage, sets a global address or a private address in the call message according to the determination result, and sends out the call message through a LAN interface. Therefore, during negotiation between terminals that is performed by the system controller in response to a response from a remote terminal, the address that is set in the call message may be used for the address of the call terminal even in a different address space.

  • Publication number: 20020027926
Abstract: In an Internet facsimile apparatus, a facsimile controller temporarily stores data received from a G3 (Group 3) facsimile apparatus or the other terminal unit to communicate with. A packetizer/depacketizer packetizes the data sequentially read out in accordance with size information fed from a size information storage and feeds the resulting packets to a UDPTL controller and a buffer. The packetizer/depacketizer determines whether data received from the other terminal unit and decoded is a response to data sent from the G3 facsimile apparatus or retransmitted data, and delivers a response detection signal representative of the result of decision to the UDPTL controller. In the UDPTL controller, a filtering circuit deletes stored past data in accordance with the response detection signal representative of a response. The apparatus reduces a load on an IP (Internet Protocol) network.

Abstract: A communication connecting device includes a terminal unit controller for temporarily storing data received from a sending terminal unit. A packetizer/depacketizer collectively codes the data sequentially read out in accordance with size information fed from a size information storage. The packetizer/depacketizer determines whether or not the current data is the last one of a continues sequence of data and delivers, if the answer of the decision is positive, a detection signal to a frequency-of-transmission monitor. A UDPTL controller feeds additional data read out of the buffer to the frequency-of-transmission monitor in accordance with ITU-T Recommendation T.38. In response to the detection signal, the monitor outputs a control signal such that the coded data not sent a preselected number of times are repeatedly read out of the buffer and retransmitted the preselected number of times.
