    Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and a system for obtaining enriched channel tracking data from a set-top box (STB). Channel information associated with channels viewed by at least one viewer on a display device associated with the STB is accessed. It is determined whether the microphone has captured one or more voice signals in vicinity of the STB prior to detection of an occurrence of a predefined event. Further, voice biometric data is extracted from each captured voice signal to configure viewer demographic data when the microphone has captured the one or more voice signals. The viewer demographic data is configured based at least on identifying viewer information corresponding to the voice biometric data. The viewer demographic data is correlated with channel tracking data corresponding to the detected predefined event to generate a payload. The data packet including the payload is transmitted to a remote server.

Subsequent to detecting the occurrence of the channel switching event, determine whether the channel was viewed for at least a first predefined time threshold. A payload comprising the channel tracking data in relation to the channel is generated if the channel was viewed for at least the first predefined time threshold. A data packet is generated comprising data fields and the payload. The data packet configured to be below a predefined byte size limit is transmitted from the set-top box (106) to a remote server (118) using LoRaWAN protocol.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for cognitive alarm management in a power grid are described. In one embodiment, sensor measurements are transformed to determine the state of a power grid. Given current state information relating to the power grid, various analyses of the alarms may be conducted to produce various rankings of the alarms (e.g., by severity, graph analyses, etc.). In an embodiment, using power flow analysis, an optimal ranking is identified from the rankings in which a causal alarm is prioritized for resolution. Given the resolution of the causal alarm, remaining alarms (either all or a sub-set) may be resolved without further action. Thus, an embodiment provides an appropriate ranking of alarm conditions in a power grid such that the optimal resolution of alarms may be achieved. Other variants and embodiments are broadly contemplated herein.
