    Abstract: To simplify the switching between an automatic shift mode and a manual shift mode in a CVT. A selector switch is included in a switch unit provided on a handle bar at a position near a right grip and a shift switch is included in a switch unit provided on the handle bar at a position near a left grip. When the manual shift mode is selected, the shift switch functions as a shift control switch, whereas when the automatic shift mode is selected by the selector switch, mode selection for selecting any one of a first drive mode and a second drive mode, for example, can be made by the shift switch.

A display vehicle speed Ddis is switched according to a hysteresis of ±0.7 kilometer per hour as shown in FIG. 6(b) under a normal or high temperature environment of not less than 45° C. with respect to a change in a vehicle speed shown in FIG. 6(a). Namely, even if the vehicle speed D changes between 51.4 kilometers and 52.6 kilometers, the display vehicle speed Ddis is held at 52 kilometers. The display vehicle speed Ddis is switched according to a hysteresis of ±1.0 kilometer per hour as shown in FIG. 6(c) under a low temperature environment of less than 45° C. Namely, even if the vehicle speed D changes between 51.1 kilometers and 52.9 kilometers, the display vehicle speed Ddis is held at 52 kilometers.

The liquid crystal display panel and the circuit board are arranged parallel to each other in a meter housing with a predetermined space therebetween. The display also includes an exposed heat collection panel arranged to surround the screen of the liquid crystal display panel.
