  • Patent number: 7012830
Abstract: To shorten the time of a test for detecting deteriorated capacitors, a semiconductor memory device having a 2T2C type memory cell structure is designed in such a way that a voltage VBL of a bit line pair which determines a voltage to be applied to ferroelectric memory cells and a voltage VPL of plate lines are so set as to satisfy a relationship of VBL=VPL<VDD where VDD is a supply voltage. This makes the size of the hysteresis loop of the ferroelectric capacitors smaller than that in case of VBL=VPL=VDD, a potential difference ?V between data “0” and data “1” can be made smaller than an operational margin of a sense amplifier. This makes it possible to detect a deteriorated ferroelectric capacitor without conducting a cycling test.

  • Patent number: 6987081
Abstract: A colored metal sheet useful as a decorative member, a multi-colored signboard, etc. is provided by transfer-printing a topcoat or clear paint layer 4 formed on a substrate metal sheet 1 with a sublimation dye. A basecoat paint layer 2 and a primer paint layer 3 may be formed between the substrate metal sheet 1 and the paint layer 4. A sublimation dye penetrates into the paint layer 4 to form colored parts 5 extending along thickness direction of the paint layer 4. Glass flakes 6 (of 8 ?m or less in thickness and 10-70 ?m in length) and calcium silicate (of 1-8 ?m in primary particle size) may be dispersed in the paint layer 4, to improve slippage-proof property and wear-resistance. Powdery silica (of 0.5-8 ?m in particle size) may be dispersed in the paint layer 4, to improve anti-scratching property and wear-resistance.

  • Publication number: 20050234223
Abstract: Internal domain 3 of seven transmembrane G protein-coupled receptors is important for G protein binding or receptor activity, and is well conserved. In H3 receptors, which are a type of G protein-coupled receptor, this region is also conserved in the same way. Therefore, as a result of using PCR to introduce point mutations into sequences encoding the region in H3 receptor cDNA, H3 receptor mutants comprising extremely strong constitutive activity could be successfully produced. The present inventors further found that by using constitutively active H3 receptor mutants, drug candidate compounds such as H3 receptor inverse agonists can be screened more easily and efficiently.

  • Publication number: 20050229146
Abstract: In a data storage method and device, input data having a pattern are divided into a plurality of fields. A first number of rectangles contained in each field of an original image of the pattern is calculated by dividing the field of the original image into one or plurality of rectangles. A second number of rectangles contained in each field of an inverted image of the pattern is calculated by dividing the field of the inverted image into one or plurality of rectangles. One of pattern data of the original image and pattern data of the inverted image which has a smaller number of rectangles is selected by comparing the first number of the rectangles in the original image with the second number of the rectangles in the inverted image. The pattern data selected for each field are stored in a recording medium.

  • Publication number: 20050226028
Abstract: Memory cell units 111, each having ferroelectric memory cells in one row by a plurality of columns, are arrayed in a matrix. Plate lines are provided for each of the units 111. PLE control circuits output plate enable signals PLE. When one of the units 111 is selected, the signal PLE is supplied to all the plate lines in the corresponding row and all the plate lines in the other rows are grounded. The plate enable signal in the column including the selected unit 111 is at high level and the plate enable signals in the other columns are at low level. Thus, only the plate line of the selected unit 111 is at high level and all the other plate lines are at low level.

  • Publication number: 20050220332
Abstract: An image of an inspection object pattern formed on a photomask is acquired, which is to be transformed into inspection object pattern data as input data of light intensity distribution simulation for finding light intensity distribution in which optical conditions of an exposure system used in pattern transfer are reflected. The light intensity distribution simulation is performed using the inspection object pattern data, and a difference between light intensity distribution of the inspection object pattern obtained by the light intensity distribution simulation and reference light intensity distribution is found. Inverse light intensity distribution simulation having reversibility to the light intensity distribution simulation is performed using the difference, to obtain difference pattern data determining a defect in the inspection object pattern.

  • Publication number: 20050143030
Abstract: A receiving apparatus receives a radio wave including an analog sound modulated wave signal, a digital sound modulated wave signal, and a digital character/image modulated wave signal by a receiving device. The analog sound modulated wave signal is demodulated by an analog demodulating device. The digital sound modulated wave signal is demodulated by a digital demodulating device. A determining device determines whether the reception level of the radio wave is equal to or higher than a predetermined level on the basis of a radio frequency signal obtained by reception of the radio wave. A selecting device selects one of the demodulating devices which generate a sound demodulated signal from a result of determination made by the determining device. A sound output device outputs sound by a sound demodulated signal from the selected demodulating device.
