  • Patent number: 7732958
Abstract: A rotating shaft is required to have an overhang for the mounting of a generator for an AC-exciter, the shaft length being increased correspondingly. The overhang may become the cause of generating shaft vibrations. A turbogenerator has a rotor over which a field winding is disposed, a coupling co-cut from a rotor shaft, an AC exciter for supplying a DC current to the field winding through a rectifier, and a generator for the AC-exciter, the generator including a permanent magnet as a field generator and supplying a DC current to a field winding of the AC exciter through the rectifier. The AC exciter and the generator are disposed over the rotor shaft. The rotor is rotated through engagement between a turbine and the coupling. The generator for the AC-exciter is mounted in a position on the side nearer to the turbine than a stator of the turbogenerator.

  • Publication number: 20100104165
Abstract: A radiation image processing apparatus which improves contrast and sharpness of radiation images is provided. According to this radiation image processing apparatus, comparison is made between a first image data obtained by radiation imaging without going through the subject but through a grid for removing scattered radiation from a subject, and a second image data which is obtained by radiation imaging through the subject and the grid, and a two-dimensional distribution of abundance of scattered component is calculated. Using this two-dimensional distribution of scattered component, abundance of scattered radiation is locally determined at each position, and a sharpening process is performed with sharpening intensities that are increased in response to abundance of scattered radiation.

  • Publication number: 20090140601
Abstract: In a rotary electric machine, for ensuring a cooling air flow between a rotor iron core and a stator iron core without enlarging a rotor, a separation preventing device is provided at a position between adjacent slots so as to correspond to each other at a shrink-fitting position where a retaining ring is shrink-fitted to a rotor iron core. Since a separation preventing position of the retaining ring is located at the shrink-fitting position, it is possible to reduce a length of the retaining ring itself so as not to be adjacent to the end portion of the stator iron core. Accordingly, a gap between the rotor iron core and the stator iron core does not reduce. As a result, it is possible to ensure a cooling air flow between the rotor iron core and the stator iron core without enlarging the rotor.
