  • Publication number: 20080174699
Abstract: An image determination apparatus includes a frequency band signal detecting unit, an average value calculating unit, a relative value calculating unit, and an image determination unit. The frequency band signal detecting unit detects signals belonging to a plurality of frequency bands, from an image signal. The average value calculating calculates average values for respective ones of the signals belonging to the plurality of frequency bands detected by the frequency band signal detecting unit. Each of the average values is a characteristic value equivalent to an amplitude. The relative value calculating unit calculates a relative value of one of the average values to another of the average values, among the average values calculated for respective ones of the plurality of frequency bands. The image determination unit for determining an image based on the relative value calculated by the relative value calculating unit. The image determined is subject to image-processing.

  • Patent number: 7368518
Abstract: The present invention aims at provision of a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition that affords a cured product having good adhesive property. Reduction of the amount of tackifier resin to be used, which is attributable to the good adhesive property, is a secondary object of the present invention. The above-mentioned problem can be solved by a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing (A) a polyoxyalkylene polymer having at least one alkenyl group in one molecule, (B) a compound having 1 to 3 hydrosilyl groups on average in one molecule, and (C) a hydrosilylation catalyst as essential components.

  • Patent number: 7359567
Abstract: Image quality degrading components can be eliminated from a contour correction signal of high frequency region that is used for contour correction. A filtering section extracts a high frequency region signal from a signal inputted from a VLPF. A mask generating section generates a mask by masking image quality degrading components (e.g., ringing components) contained in the extracted signal. A gain factor generating section generates a gain factor that eliminates image quality degrading components on the basis of the mask. A multiplier multiplies the extracted signal by the gain factor, and outputs an adder a resultant signal (horizontal contour correction signal free from the image quality degrading components). Since the horizontal contour correction signal is generated by eliminating the image quality degrading components from the high frequency region signal, the occurrence of ringing and the like can be suppressed to ensure excellent image quality.

  • Publication number: 20070200935
Abstract: In an image pickup apparatus, a level compensator compensates the level of an image xL (i, j) sensed by an image sensor by exposure for a long time on the basis of the exposure of the image to produce a compensated image xL? • Patent number: 7260268
Abstract: An input signal is accurately separated into a component in which a change in signal level is sharp and having a large edge, and the other components. A narrow band non-linear filter extracts an edge component in a relatively narrow frequency band from an input signal and outputs the signal. A wide band non-linear filter extracts an edge component in a relatively wide frequency band from the input signal and outputs the signal. A selector outputs a signal composed of the signal where an edge portion is replaced, based on a differentiated value of the signal sent by a differentiator, as the edge component of the input signal. An adder subtracts an output signal from the input signal and outputs the calculated output signal as the edge component of the input signal. This process, may be applied to an image processor.

  • Publication number: 20070103745
Abstract: The invention provides an image processing apparatus and an image processing method. An area to which image data belongs is discriminated, and a correction coefficient to be used for correction of a pixel value of the image data is produced based on a result of the discrimination. Then, the pixel value of the image data is corrected with the correction coefficient. The relationship in magnitude among pixel values in the same area is maintained because the same coefficient is used, but pixel values which belong to different areas can be varied or even reversed. This allows the gradation of an entire image to be corrected while preventing partial deterioration of the contrast.
