    Abstract: In an optical connector device, amounting opening portion 10 is formed in a bottom portion of a housing portion 2 of a first optical connector 1. A stopper 20 is inserted into the housing portion 2 through this mounting opening portion 10, and is engaged with a second covering portion of an optical fiber cord in the housing portion 2 to hold this optical fiber cord against withdrawal. A second optical connector 40 includes a tubular fitting portion 50 for fitting on the housing portion 2. This tubular fitting portion 50 is formed into such a shape as to cover at least part of the mounting opening portion 10 in a mutually-connected condition of the first and second optical connectors 1 and 40.

    Abstract: In an optical connector 1, a cord receiving hole portion 11c, where an optical fiber cord 90 can be inserted and received axially of the optical fiber cord, is formed in a housing 10. A mounting hole 13, through which a stopper 40 can be inserted into the portion 11c perpendicularly to an insertion direction of the cord 90, is formed in the housing. A positioning slit 42, having a width slightly smaller than the diameter of the cord 90, is formed in each plate-like portion 41. A blade portion 43 with an angle 90° is formed at each open end of the slit 42. When the stopper 40 is inserted into the portion 11c through the hole 13, each portion 43 abuts against a covering portion 92, and penetrates into the portion 92 while forcing a cut portion of this portion 92 away in the stopper insertion direction.

    Abstract: A shield casing is received and held in a connector housing made of a resin. The shield casing includes a casing body portion for receiving an optical element therein, a guide sleeve portion which guides an optical fiber toward the element body portion, and a radiating portion exposed to the exterior of the connector housing. The casing body portion, the guide sleeve portion and the radiating portion are formed integrally on this casing body portion. The whole of the shield casing is made of a metal material such as aluminum and an aluminum alloy. The shield casing further includes screw-fastening fixing piece portions for fixing the shield casing to a mounting board.
