  • Publication number: 20070039881
Abstract: A method for solution/separation phase change at a constant temperature (with no temperature change) in a combination of a first solvent and a second solvent of a mixture of plural solvents that undergoes temperature-dependent reversible change between solution phase and separation phase. A method for solubilization or phase separation of first and second solvents at a constant temperature by adding thereto a solvent that constitutes the first solvent and/or the second solvent, on the basis of the solution/separation temperature data relative to the blend ratio of the first and second solvents and the composition blend ratio of the second solvent in the solvent set that is in a separation phase, in such a manner that the first and second solvents may have a blend ratio at which they may undergo solution/separation phase change at a temperature lower than the temperature of the separation-phase solvent set.

  • Publication number: 20060207935
Abstract: To provide a method and a device for separating object substances from a mixture without requiring an ultrasonic generator and a centrifugal separator. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] In this method of separating the object substances from the mixture by using a first solvent and a second solvent, the first solvent and the second solvent are reversibly changed from a state of being separated into two phases to a state of being mutually dissolved into one phase by changing their temperatures. The upstream portion and the center portion of a column including the first solvent are held in a temperature range in which the solvents are mutually dissolved into one phase, and the downstream portion of the column is held in a temperature range in which the solvents are separated into two phases. The second solvent in which the mixture is dissolved is changed from the upstream portion of the column into the column, and the separated second solvent phase is taken out from the downstream portion of the column.

Providing a solvent set appropriate for chemical processes imparted electric energy, such as electrochemical process. (Means for Resolution) Use of a chemical process using a combination of a first solvent and a second solvent, where the miscible state and the separation state reversibly change depending on the temperature, where the first solvent includes an alkane-series compound and/or a cycloalkane-series compound; and the second solvent includes at least one selected from the group consisting of a carbonate (carboxylic acid ester) compound, a carbamate (urethane) compound, an urea compound, a cyclic amide compound and a cyclic ketoamine compound.

  • Publication number: 20060104869
Abstract: (Problems) A reaction container (apparatus) with a high efficiency, which can overcome problems of common chemically processing apparatuses using a solvent set where the compatible state and the separated state are reversibly changeable depending on a temperature, i.e. problems of the apparatus disclosed in Japanese Patent Application 2002-198242, namely the separation over time and spatial separation between compatible state and separated state. (Means for Solving the Problems) A temperature distribution is formed inside a reaction container, such that the temperature of one (optional) partial region inside the reaction container is the temperature for making first and second solvent solutions at a compatible state or a higher temperature, while the temperature of the other partial region is the temperature for making the solutions at a separated state or a lower temperature. Additionally, a reaction-promoting energy such as light and electricity is fed to the part at the compatible state.

  • Patent number: 6208950
Abstract: A 1/f noise coefficient characteristic with respect to an operating point of a semiconductor device is measured, and a control voltage corresponding to an operating point of the semiconductor device with which the 1/f noise coefficient is minimized is applied to a MOSFET. Further, using a MOSFET which has known element dimensions, a relationship of a 1/f noise coefficient to a channel area is calculated, and the resistance value of the MOSFET is calculated using the channel width and the channel length as well as a constant peculiar to the MOSFET. Then, the 1/f noise coefficient of the semiconductor device is calculated using the 1/f noise coefficient with respect to the channel area of the MOSFET and the resistance value, and the channel width and the channel length of the MOSFET are set so that the 1/f noise coefficient of the semiconductor device may be minimized.

  • Patent number: 5920654
Abstract: In an image processing system, an outline correction of image data and a smoothing for noise removal are performed. Generally, the outline correction is performed by emphasizing a high frequency component, and the smoothing is performed by removing the high frequency component. Within one image data, by properly switching the emphasizing and the removal of the high frequency component, while the outline correction is carried out, the noise removal can be performed. An absolute value of a high frequency component Fa extracted from the image data Pi by a first differential filter is compared with a discrimination threshold value K, and depending on the comparison result, either Fa or -Fa as the correction data Fo is selected by a selector and is added to the image data Pi. As a result, when Fo=Fa, the high frequency component is emphasized, and when Fo=-Fa, smoothing is performed. A pixel interpolation and a multi picture formation are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5917959
Abstract: The image processing device converts input image data into converted data. A two way buffer in the image processing device stores reference data generated by a converted data generator under the direction of a controller. The two way buffer is then used to generate converted data in response to received image data. Also, depending upon the input device connected to the image processing device, a selector selects one of a plurality of processing characteristics. The selected processing characteristics are used to vary and set a conversion function for converting the image data to produce the converted data.
