  • Patent number: 6798959
Abstract: A display device comprises an actuator substrate which has actuator elements, an optical waveguide plate, crosspieces which is interposed between the optical waveguide plate and the actuator substrate and which surround the actuator elements, and picture element assemblies which are joined onto the actuator elements. A stack for constructing each of the picture element assemblies has a transparent layer opposed to the optical waveguide plate. The transparent layer contains a major component of a cured resin obtained by polymerization with a principal ingredient which is composed of one or more materials selected from modified epoxy, bisphenol A type epoxy, bisphenol F type epoxy, and glycidyl ether type epoxy, and a curing agent which is composed of one or more materials selected from modified polyamine, modified alicyclic polyamine, and heterocyclic diamine modified product of tertiary amine.

  • Patent number: 6768846
Abstract: An adhesion-suppressing agent is added or applied to a picture element assembly precursor which is a precursor of a picture element assembly. Accordingly, when the hardening is performed while allowing the picture element assembly precursor to make pressed contact with an optical waveguide plate, the picture element assembly precursor is prevented from adhesion to the optical waveguide plate. Further, the gap between the picture element assembly and the optical waveguide plate is narrowed by allowing the adhesion-suppressing agent to intervene. Therefore, when a display device is in the light emission state, the picture element assembly reliably makes pressed contact with the optical waveguide plate. Further, owing to the adhesion-suppressing agent, the mutual adhesion between the picture element assembly and the optical waveguide plate is remarkably suppressed when the display device is used. Preferred examples of the adhesion-suppressing agent include silicone-based substances.

  • Publication number: 20040060378
Abstract: An output shaft locking device for a multi-clutch transmission in which a plurality of rotational mechanisms, each of which is formed by arranging a clutch and a shifting mechanism is series, is provided in parallel between a rotational power input shaft and a rotational power output shaft, and an output shaft locking method. The output shaft locking device includes a locking control device which locks the rotational power output shaft by engaging a shifting gear in each of the shifting mechanisms of at least two of the rotational mechanisms, and engaging each of the clutches of the rotational mechanisms. Thus, it is possible to lock the output shaft so as to fix wheels by engaging the shifting gear without providing a lock mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6688263
Abstract: A gas jacket is provided in a lower portion of a cylinder block, so that an exhaust gas in an exhaust gas passage is supplied to the gas jacket through an exhaust gas supply passage having an exhaust gas supply valve. Fresh air in an intake passage is supplied to an intake passage through a fresh-air supply passage having a fresh-air supply valve. The temperature of a lower cylinder wall is controlled in a feedback manner to a target temperature for the lower cylinder wall. The target temperature for the lower cylinder wall is set at a sufficiently high temperature in a range in which an oil film of lubricating oil, extending from an intermediate portion of the cylinder wall to a bottom dead center of a piston, can be ensured. Therefore, the viscosity of the lubricating oil can be decreased to minimize the friction loss at slide portions of the cylinder wall and the piston, thereby providing an increase in engine output, a reduction in amount of fuel consumed and a reduction in lubricating oil consumed.
