Abstract: An auto-loading mechanism in a tape player which comprises an operational member driven by a motor to slide and formed with a first, second and third operational portion which engage with a lock plate for locking a slide member for sliding while being contact with an inserted tape pack, an insertion frame for setting the tape pack in the playing position as well as a shift member for shifting a head plate or a member operatively connected to those members, and, the operational member further comprises a spring for storing ejecting force during the loading time by driving the motor.

Abstract: An operating device for switching a slide switch by moving a slide member of the slide switch in response to movement of an operating member includes an acting member which is provided on the operating member, is engageable with the slide member, and is movable against elastic force of an elastic member. The elastic force is slightly larger than the force necessary for slidable movement of the slide member and the stroke of the operating member is larger than that of the slide member.

Abstract: A magnetic tape recording/reproducing apparatus having a loading assembly which comprises a rotatable member driven by a motor mounted on the tape deck, a rack member interlocking with a tape pack inserted within said tape deck so as to be slidable with respect to said tape deck so that said rack member is allowed to slide due to rotational force of said rotatable member.

Abstract: In a braking system adopted in a tape player, an intermittently rotating cam has provided thereon a brake tripping portion and brake releasing portion with which a roller on a power plate is in such a contact as to be driven by the cam. The power plate may be reciprocally moved as the cam gear is rotated, thus providing for a brake control mechanism; coupled to the power plate of this brake control mechanism are a braking mechanism and also a head shift mechanism.

Abstract: An interlocking gear control mechanism, comprising a driven gear engaged with a drive rotary member and a rack member operated as engaged with the driven gear, and a gear lock piece to put said driven gear in engagement with the drive rotary member, an elastic member to give the gear lock piece a force for engagement of the driven gear with the drive rotary member, and a portion provided on the gear lock piece to eliminate the engagement in a condition where the rack member has completely attained its full stroke.

Abstract: A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus in a tape player comprising a rotatable cam and an operational means interlocking with the rotatable cam. The operational means is arranged to operate a control means for forwardly and rearwardly moving reproduction mechanisms like a head, a pinch roller or an idler and the control means is to be held in its reproduction position by a locking means.

Abstract: A clutch system in a tape player comprises a first rotor rotated by a motor and a second rotor capable of engaging with and disengaging from said first rotor, both rotors being formed with engage portions at their end faces which are adjacent to each other. The clutch system is further provided with a switching means for carrying out engagement and disengagement of said rotors, and the switching means is operated by an operating means for making said motor carry out automatic loading operation.

Abstract: A power loading/unloading mechanism for tape record/playback apparatus which comprises a gear driven by a motor, a rack member associated with a tape pack inserted; a partly cut-out gear independent of the rack member operation system and interlocked with a cam member for advancing and retreating a head plate; an engaging gear driven by the motor and disposed so as to engage with the partly cut-out gear; a means for keeping the engaging gear from engagement with teeth of the partly cut-out gear; and an engagement operating means for detecting completion of tape pack loading and for putting the engaging gear into mesh with the teeth of the partly cut-out gear.

Abstract: A lock mechanism for use in a tape player for locking a slide member provided slidably on a tape player frame. The slide member is attached by a pivotally movable actuating member. The actuation member is provided with a pin adapted to engage with and disengage from a locking hook portion formed on the slide member and provided in association with an operating member for carrying out a locking operation. The operating member has an engaging projection engageable with said pin to actuate the same. The frame has a first guide portion for engaging with the pin and guiding the same into a locking position and a second guide portion for letting the engaging projection pass during the resetting of the operating member. The engaging projection has, on one face, two side edges for changing over operational directions for the pin and, on another face, a diagonal edge for forcing the pin into the second guide portion to let the projection pass thereover.

Abstract: A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus adapted to effect lowering and raising of a tape pack receiving frame to set it into and eject it from a recording/reproducing position. A rack portion is formed on a slide member interlocked with the tape pack receiving frame. A support link provided with a gear, which is adapted to be driven by a motor, is disposed in relation with the rack portion. An electromagnetic mechanism energized by a signal for ejection such as a tape-end signal is provided for the support link. The gear and the rack portion are adapted to engage with each other upon energization of the electromagnetic mechanism for carrying out an ejecting operation.
