  • Publication number: 20030015921
Abstract: A feed line switching circuit includes a relay connected between feed lines, a normally close contact of the relay, and a resistor that constitutes a series circuit with the normally close contact, which series circuit is connected in parallel with the relay. The resistance of the coil of the relay and the resistance of the resistor are determined to satisfy the condition that the current flowing through the relay after energizing the relay can prevent the chattering of the relay. Thus, the feed line switching circuit can positively carry out the feed line switching.

  • Patent number: 6437538
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring battery voltage is provided that can detect battery voltage with high accuracy, and also can be miniaturized with cost and noise reduced. The apparatus comprises: a capacitor which is charged to the voltage of each module, switches which connect and disconnect this capacitor and the module, a voltage follower which outputs the voltage across the capacitor, and switches which connect and disconnect the voltage follower and the capacitor. For the aforementioned switches, photo MOSFETs are used. Furthermore, to prevent discharge from the capacitor, a voltage follower is installed. Therefore, by using not a complicated circuit but inexpensive and simple elements, a low cost and miniaturized apparatus for measuring battery voltage is realized.

  • Patent number: 6058153
Abstract: A preventive maintenance apparatus for structural members inside a nuclear reactor pressure vessel includes a ring-shaped guide rail having a plurality of lugs which is placed on an upper flange of a core shroud provided inside a reactor pressure vessel. At least some of lugs separately engage with a plurality of guide rods provided on an inner surface of the reactor pressure vessel. A turntable is rotated on the guide rail. A first discharging nozzle moving apparatus placed on the turntable moves a first discharging nozzle for adding compressive remaining stress to an outer surface of the core shroud in a radial direction of the core shroud and in an axial direction of the core shroud. A second discharging nozzle moving apparatus placed on the turntable moves a second discharging nozzle for adding compressive remaining stress to an inner surface of the core shroud in a radial direction of the core shroud and in an axial direction of the core shroud.

  • Patent number: 5749384
Abstract: An apparatus preventive maintenance having a driving mechanism capable of driving a jet nozzle 24 to cause it to travel upward-and-downward, to rotate and to swing is settled on the top of a housing in the bottom portion of a reactor pressure vessel and on a hole for a fuel support piece, water pumped by a high pressure pump is spouted from a jet nozzle, and cavitation bubbles generated during the spouting are supplied to the positions to be treated for preventive maintenance, such as housings in the bottom portion of the reactor pressure vessel. Therewith, the residual tensile stress in the position to be treated is improved in a releasing direction by the energy generated by the collapsing of the cavitation bubbles.

  • Patent number: 5627661
Abstract: An OCR document sheet is printed at an order terminal side, and contents of an order written in the OCR document sheet by an transmitter are read by a scanner of a scanner control element at the order terminal side. The contents of the order are converted into pieces of character recognized data according to the optical character recognition. Also, character patterns such as "commodity name" are generated in a character generating element. The character recognized data and the character patterns are displayed, and the character recognized data are corrected when a transmitter desires the correction of the data displayed. Thereafter, the character recognized data are transmitted to an order-receiving center to inform the center of the contents of the order. Also, the character recognized data and the character patterns are printed out to record the contents of the order at the order terminal side.

  • Patent number: 4049772
Abstract: A chromic acid solution can advantageously be recovered from the waste water by a process which comprises passing the waste water successively through an anion-exchange column system consisting of two or more serially interconnected anion-exchange resin columns each packed with an anion-exchange resin thereby deionizing the waste water, and, in the course of this deionization treatment, column backwashing the first anion-exchange resin when the anion-exchange capacity thereof has fallen to the point where the influent to and the effluent from the first anion-exchange resin column have become substantially equal in terms of chromate ion content. In the course of the regeneration treatment, the waste water is diverted to enter the anion-exchange column system through the second anion-exchange resin column. After the regeneration treatment has been completed, the first anion-exchange resin column is put back into service in the anion-exchange system so as to serve as the last stage.
