  • Patent number: 7711642
Abstract: A method for identifying payment forms accurately identifies types of forms without adding special form identification data. A payment form discrimination method for discriminating payment forms which state a payee account number and a payment amount includes a step of acquiring an image of the form, a step of making a search for the payee account number in the image in accordance with an account number searching rule, and a step of discriminating the type of form based on the searched payee account number. Types of forms can be identified accurately and fast without adding special form identification data, because the form identification is performed using easily searchable account numbers.

  • Publication number: 20100018160
Abstract: A vertical bag packaging machine has a steam nozzle that is inserted into a bag to inject steam thereinto after an article to be packaged has been filled into the bag, thereby replacing the air in the bag with the steam to effect deaeration. After the steam-replacement deaeration, a seal portion to be ultrasonically sealed is preheated by a preheating device, thereby making the temperature of the seal portion uniform throughout it. The preheating temperature is not lower than a temperature of a highest temperature region of said seal portion before it is preheated and below a melting temperature of a material constituting an inner side of said bag Thereafter, the seal portion is ultrasonically sealed by an ultrasonic sealing device. Thus, reliable and stable ultrasonic sealing can be realized.

  • Publication number: 20100011270
Abstract: A first loss determination section 13 of a first communication device 10 determines that a data unit is lost if an acknowledgment response for the transmitted data unit from a second communication device 30 is not received within a predetermined time and retransmits the data unit when the determination is made. When a determination section 16 determines that a spurious timeout has occurred, a window control section 17 sets a target value for decreasing the size of a congestion window and then gradually decreases the size of the congestion window to the target value when the acknowledgment response is received. Therefore, in a case of executing a response algorithm for changing a slow start threshold and the congestion window, if a segment loss occurs subsequent to the spurious timeout, an efficient loss recovery is achieved and the throughput is improved.

  • Patent number: 7604326
Abstract: With a micro nozzle in which the fluid discharge head has a nozzle with a micro hole having a diameter of 0.01 ?m to 25 ?m, the drive voltage during discharging operation is reduced. Further, by disposing an electrode section for applying a drive voltage to a discharge fluid on an external wall of a nozzle section, a distance between the electrode section and the nozzle hole is shortened. With this structure, the subject invention achieves both miniaturization of nozzle and reduction in drive voltage in an electrostatic suction type fluid discharge device. The subject invention also achieves an increase in discharge limit frequency while allowing use of materials with higher resistance for the fluid to be discharged.

  • Publication number: 20090165748
Abstract: A fuel supply method and circuit including at least one flow-rate regulating valve is provided at a return pipe for returning excess return fuel from a combustion chamber side. During the combustion operation, the fuel from the supply pipe is supplied to a fuel injection nozzle with the return pipe closed or restricted to a predetermined opening degree and the back pressure of the return pipe raised by at least one flow-rate regulating valve. The fuel is supplied to the fuel injection nozzle as being pressurized by the return back pressure, so that the fuel injection nozzle supplies to the combustion chamber the fuel that has been heated to a high-temperature. The return fuel is circulated from the return pipe directly through the supply pipe, and mixed in a sub-tank with low-temperature fuel from a fuel tank. The mixed fuel is supplied to the fuel injection nozzle.

  • Publication number: 20090134386
Abstract: An organic field-effect transistor has a gate insulating layer comprising a cured epoxy resin. The epoxy resin has a lower concentration of trapping centres compared with a conventional epoxy resin in which trapping centres are provided by hydroxyl (OH) groups. The lower concentration of trapping centres can be achieved by reducing the number of hydroxyl groups throughout the layer and/or by reducing the number of hydroxyl groups in a surface region.

  • Patent number: 7436854
Abstract: A CPU 41 of a server device 40 measures an elapsed time after transmitting a data segment, and suspends measuring time upon receiving an acknowledgement segment for the data segment. CPU 41 transmits a data segment whose elapsed time has reached a retransmission timeout value. CPU 41 sets, as a retransmission timeout value of a data block, a time value determined according to a monotonically increasing function of a number of transmissions of the data block, during a given time period after the second-time transmission of the data block, while CPU 41 sets a time value which is predetermined and is different from the time value determined by the monotonically increasing function during a period between the first-time transmission and immediately before the second-time transmission of the data block.
