  • Patent number: 4811827
Abstract: A lock-up clutch of an automatic transmission is controlled by an electronic control unit using a gear shift diagram and a lock-up clutch changeover diagram each having vehicle velocity plotted along identical abscissa and throttle opening plotted along identical ordinate. Changeover of the lock-up clutch is controlled upon setting a changeover line in the changeover diagram in accordance with which the lock-up clutch is changed over from OFF to ON state, and changeover of transmission gear ranges is controlled upon setting a transmission gear range changeover point in the gear shift diagram. The changeover line is set in such a manner that it will not intersect a region in the gear shift diagram where the shift position is 2nd gear range or less and the throttle opening is less than a predetermined value. Thus, the lock-up clutch is not engaged in a case where the transmission is in 2nd gear range or less and, moreover, the throttle opening is less than a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 4512212
Abstract: An automatic power transmission including a torque converter and a planetary type multiple stage gear transmission unit. The torque converter is provided with a lock up clutch for mechanically connecting the converter pump with the turbine so that the engine output torque is directly transmitted to the gear transmission unit. The engagement of the lock up clutch is controlled by the difference between the governor pressure which represents the vehicle speed and the throttle valve kickdown pressure which indicates whether or not the engine throttle valve is in or substantially in the full open position so that the lock up clutch can be engaged at a relatively low speed under a normal operation.

  • Patent number: 4200380
Abstract: A camera according to this invention includes a diffracting means disposed in the optical path of the object image forming light for a finder. The diffracting means is illuminated by a light source also provided within the body of the camera so as to exit the diffracted light toward the object side. A person who stands on the object side as an object can ascertain whether or not he is within the area of the object field to be photographed by the camera. Also, in taking a picture of himself with a camera mounted on a tripod using a self-timer, he can, while standing on the object side, obtain information about the self-timer through a photographic lens. According to one preferred embodiment of the invention, as the diffracting means, there is used a volume type phase diffracting means to avoid any adverse effect of the diffracting means on the object image forming light in which the diffracting means is placed.

  • Patent number: 4079398
Abstract: A self-timer for cinecameras wherein an electric delay circuit is used for detecting a length of time from the release to the commencement of a photographing process which takes place with an electric power having been actually supplied to a film feeding motor. The amount of the rotation made by the film feeding motor from the start of the rotation of the motor is either mechanically or electrically detected. When the detected amount of rotation reaches a preset value corresponding to a number of frames of the film required for self-timer photographing, the motor is stopped to terminate the photographing operation, so that the photographing operation with the self-timer can be accomplished exactly for a preset number of frames.

  • Patent number: 4072409
Abstract: A motion picture camera with a release device capable of selective control of rotative movement of the shutter blade in the camera for a normal motion picture sequence and for a single frame slot depending upon the position of a selector therefor. The release device is provided with the single stop lever arranged between the shutter blade and a release member to be pivoted in either of two planes, perpendicular to each other. For a motion picture sequence, as the pivotal movement of the stop lever is limited to only one of the planes, it is retained in operative engagement with the release member so long as the latter is pressed, thus permitting a number of revolutions of the shutter blade in sequence.
