Patent number: 5171130Abstract: An oil cooled compressor includes a compressor body having a low pressure suction passage and a high pressure discharge passage. An oil tank is mounted to the discharge passage such that oil and drain water separated from a compressed gas in the discharge passage collect in the oil tank with water at a lowermost part of the oil tank. A drain water passage separate from a compressed gas discharge passage and an oil discharge passage, connects the lowermost part of the oil tank with a portion of the compressor body which is substantially at the low pressure. Drain water is thereby evaporated from the oil tank and returned to the compressor body.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 1991Date of Patent: December 15, 1992Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Kobe Seiko ShoInventors: Terumasa Kume, Kazuo Kubo, Masaki Matsukuma, Tsutomu Horii, Yoshitomo Yamamoto

Patent number: 4957019Abstract: In a press machine provided with a power transmission device (1) for transmitting the driving force of the press body to a transfer feeder device, on the occasion of the recoupling of the power transmission device (1) at the exchange of a mold or the like, a motor (8) for rotating the shaft of the power transmission device (1) is driven in the forward or reverse direction so that the feeder angle (F) coincides with the crank angle (P) of the press. At the moment when the difference (P-F) between said angles enters within a predetermined range (A), the power transmission device (1) is coupled. Thus, it is possible to automatically couple the power transmission device simply and with high accuracy.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1988Date of Patent: September 18, 1990Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Komatsu SeisakushoInventor: Kazuo Kubo

Patent number: 4951638Abstract: Disclosed is a screw type mechanical supercharger which is small in size but has a large capacity. The supercharger includes a pair of female and male screw rotors held in a mutully meshing condition with each other, and a pair of synchronizing gears mounted for integral rotation with the screw rotors and held in meshing engagement with each other to establish synchronous rotation of the female and male screw rotors. The female rotor has six teeth while the male rotor has three teeth, and the synchronizing gear for the female rotor has a number of teeth equal to twice that of the other synchronizing gear for the male rotor. The female rotor is connected to be driven by a reciprocating internal combustion engine so as to serve as an input power shaft of the supercharger. The screw rotors are preferably formed from a lighter weight material than the remainder of the supercharger.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 1989Date of Patent: August 28, 1990Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Kobe Seiko ShoInventors: Noboru Tsuboi, Kazuo Kubo, Kunihiko Nishitani

Patent number: 4792052Abstract: An apparatus including a grip sensor for controlling the number of revolutions of an engine. The grip sensor detects whether or not fingers of an operator approach toward the grip sensor or the former come in contact with the latter. Usually, the grip sensor is incorporated in the gripping portion of a control lever which controls actuation of working tools. The apparatus includes a controller for outputting a deceleration signal in response to an output signal from the grip sensor in order to reduce the current number of revolutions of the engine to a level lower than the number of revolutions of the engine in the high operative state when no detection is achieved by means of the grip sensor. Alternatively, the controller may output an acceleration signal in response to an output signal from the grip sensor in order to raise the current number of revolutions of the engine to a level higher than that the engine in the idle rotational state when detection is achieved by means of the grip sensor.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 1986Date of Patent: December 20, 1988Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Komatsu SeisakushoInventors: Junji Okuda, Kazunori Hashi, Kentaro Nakamura, Kazuo Kubo

Patent number: 4695233Abstract: A pair of dry-sealed screw rotors for compressors which includes rotor tooth profiles in which an inter-tooth gap at a profile point on male and female rotor of a normal temperature is determined by an amount of interference due to thermal expansion caused during the operation of the compressors and an amount of minimum safety clearance necessary for the operation. The inter-tooth gap is further determined by a total thickness of seal coatings applied to the peripheral surfaces of the rotors at a profile point at which the thus determined gap is smaller than the total thickness of seal coatings. With the thus shaped rotor teeth, a most preferable seal line is achieved so as to produce an improved compression efficiency.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 1986Date of Patent: September 22, 1987Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Kobe Seiko ShoInventors: Kiyotada Miyoshi, Noboru Tsuboi, Kunihiko Nishitani, Kazuo Kubo, Shouji Yoshimura
