  • Patent number: 5192995
Abstract: An improved electric device and manufacturing method for the same are described. The device is for example an IC chip clothed with moulding. In advance of the moulding process, the rear surface of lead frame of the IC chip is cleaned and coated with an antioxidation film made of silicon nitride in order to avoid the oxidation of the lead frame. The antioxidation film ensures the connection of the moulding and the lead frame and protect the IC chip from moisture invaded through cracks or gaps. The coating of silicon nitride is carried out after cleaning the lead frame.

  • Patent number: 4984080
Abstract: A video IF signal detector includes a first phase detector detecting a phase difference between an input video IF a signal and a first reference signal. A low pass filter acts on an output signal from the first phase detector. A VCO generates the first reference signal and a second reference signal in response to an output signal from the low pass filter. The first reference signal and the second reference signal have a fixed phase relation with each other. The first phase detector, the low pass filter, and the VCO compose a PLL. A second phase detector detects a phase difference between the input vido IF signal and the second reference signal and extracts a baseband video signal from the input video IF signal. The PLL is enabled during a first period where the input video IF signal is independent of display information. The PLL is disabled during a second period where the input video IF signal represents the display information.

  • Patent number: 4949004
Abstract: A mercury-vapor lamp is provided with a reservoir in which a superfluous amount of mercury is stored in the form of liquid state. The liquid mercury in the reservoir is cooled to a certain temperature. The pressure of mercury-vapor is automatically reduced to the saturated pressure of the liquid mercury cooled. In this configuration, the pressure of mercury-vapor is controlled by adjusting the temperature of the liquid mercury stored in the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 4857139
Abstract: A photo CVD apparatus includes a reaction chamber, a vacuum pump, and a light source chamber disposed in the reaction chamber, the light source chamber having a light window. A light source is provided in the light source chamber for irradiating the inside of the reaction chamber through the window. A device inputs reactive gas into the reaction chamber, and an electrode is disposed in the reaction space adjacent to the window and located between the substrate and the window. A method of depositing a layer on a substrate includes the steps of disposing a substrate in a reaction chamber, introducing a reactive gas, and initiating a photo-chemical reaction to deposit the product of the reaction on the substrate by irradiating the reactive gas with light emitted from a light source through a window of a light source chamber in which the light source is disposed. The substrate is then removed from the reaction chamber, and an etchant gas is introduced into the reaction chamber.

  • Patent number: 4777631
Abstract: In a disc playback device in which a disc cartridge case housing a disc is loaded in a disc cartridge case holder of a main body of the device and this holder is moved from a disc non-playback position to a disc playback position for playing back of the disc, a loading system for a disc cartridge case comprises a curved surface portion formed in a corner portion on the side of the disc cartridge case from which the case is inserted into the holder and an uncurved surface portion formed in a corner portion on the side opposite to the side from which the case is inserted into the holder. A case erroneous insertion blocking member having an engaging portion is provided on the holder. If the case in its correct insertion posture is inserted into the holder, the engaging portion of the blocking member cooperates with the curved surface portion of the case to permit the case to be inserted into the holder.
