  • Publication number: 20020078184
Abstract: A multicast delivery system that prevents data from being lost. A group generating section in a multicast delivery unit divides data to be delivered stored in a database to generate a plurality of groups. A delivery times determining section determines the number of times each group is delivered. A delivering section repeats delivery of each group times determined by the delivery times determining section. In a multicast receiving unit, a receiving preparing section prepares receiving according to control information delivered by a control information delivering section before delivery of data, so a data packet receiving section can receive delivered data smoothly. When the receiving of the entire data is completed, a received data quality judging section judges whether the receiving was performed normally and informs a judgment responding section of a judgment.

  • Patent number: 6081403
Abstract: A tape-loading mechanism of a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus according to the present invention has a tape travel system in which a magnetic tape drawn out of a supply-side tape reel is helically wound around a drum along a lead thereof by tilted guides respectively provided on inlet and outlet sides of the drum and tape guides respectively provided on inlet and outlet sides thereof, passed via a capstan and wound around a takeup side tape reel. A vertical position of the lead of the drum is set equal to that of a lower edge of the tape in a state immediately before the magnetic tape is loaded onto the drum. The magnetic tape is twisted in the middle of the tape travel system in order to cancel difference in tension between upper and lower edges of the magnetic tape when the magnetic tape is loaded onto the drum.

  • Patent number: 5991840
Abstract: When a first expansion unit in a computer sends data on an auxiliary bus directly to a second expansion unit, the second expansion unit sends the same data directly back to the first expansion unit. If the data sent back are not identical to the data originally sent, the first expansion unit generates an error signal. Alternatively, when a first expansion unit in a computer sends data on an auxiliary bus directly to a second expansion unit, the first expansion unit sends identical data in at least two data streams on the auxiliary bus. If the second expansion unit does not receive identical data from all of these data streams, the second expansion unit generates an error signal.

  • Patent number: 5889927
Abstract: An image processing method and apparatus which can obtain an image, at a desired resolution, far from degradation in image at a high speed is disclosed. Input original image data is converted into hierarchical codes by a JBIG-CODEC 95, and the codes of the layers are stored in a memory. To obtain image information at a desired resolution, a code necessary for representing an image having, of the resolutions which can be represented by the hierarchical codes stored in the memory, a resolution hither than and closest to the desired resolution is selected to execute decoding processing in the JBIG-CODEC 95, thereby obtaining reproduced image data. A resolution conversion unit 96 converts the resolution of the reproduced image into a desired resolution by using, e.g., linear interpolation and outputs the converted image data.
