  • Publication number: 20200285287
Abstract: An activity monitoring circuit enables power conservation for an activity monitoring system. The activity monitoring system includes a sensor device that generates activity data based on detected movement. An activity monitoring circuit receives the activity data as input from the sensor device, and processes the activity data. Based on the processing, the activity monitoring circuit signals the sensor device to change a duty cycle of its operation, by adjusting how long it is on and off. The activity monitoring circuit can include a sensor hub that determines an activity state indicated by the activity data and generates a prediction of stability of the determined activity state based on historical activity data. Based on activity state and stability, the sensor hub can determine a duty cycle for operation of the sensor device.

  • Publication number: 20200214647
Abstract: Technologies for monitoring a health-risk condition of a user include a virtual reality compute device having one or more near infrared (NIR) sensors. The virtual reality compute device presents a virtual reality (VR) presentation to the user. The virtual reality compute device produces sensor data through the one or more NIR sensors that is indicative of a heart rate of the user and a blood pressure of the user while the VR presentation is presented to the user. The virtual reality compute device determines whether the user is in a health-risk condition based on a comparison of the heart rate of the user to a heart rate safety threshold and a comparison of the blood pressure of the user to a blood pressure safety threshold. The virtual reality compute device performs a health-risk condition response in response to a determination that the user is in the health-risk condition.

  • Publication number: 20200028285
Abstract: This invention refers to a detachable carbon-fiber conductive rail in the technical field of conductive rail. The conductive rail above has a main body that consists of a long connecting pipe module linked with an elastic sheet module at one end, and at the other end of the elastic sheet module far away from the long connecting pipe module, there is a short connecting pipe module. In this invention, the long connecting pipe module, the elastic sheet module and the short connecting pipe module are connected in sequence. In this way, operators can dismount and install the modules easily to improve efficiency of installation and bring down the costs. As for this detachable carbon-fiber conductive rail, multiple long connecting pipe modules, elastic sheet modules and short connecting pipe modules can be connected together in sequence to shape several conductive rails. The installation circuits can be curved, straight or annular.

  • Publication number: 20190390960
Abstract: Technologies for determining a user's location by a mobile computing device include detecting, based on sensed inertial characteristics of the mobile computing device, that a user of the mobile computing device has taken a physical step in a direction. The mobile computing device determines a directional heading of the mobile computing device in the direction and a variation of an orientation of the mobile computing device relative to a previous orientation of the mobile computing device at a previous physical step of the user based on the sensed inertial characteristics. The mobile computing device further applies a Kalman filter to determine a heading of the user based on the determined directional heading of the mobile computing device and the variation of the orientation and determines an estimated location of the user based on the user's determined heading, an estimated step length of the user, and a previous location of the user at the previous physical step.
