    Abstract: A bionic robot and a spine apparatus thereof. Magnetorheological fluids are filled in the cavity, the first tube and the second tube to actuate the first end of the piston rod, so that the piston rod is actuated to move along the axial direction of the cavity. The excitation coil is wound around the first tube. When the controller provides a variable current for the excitation coil, the excitation coil produces a variable magnetic field at the first tube, thereby causing a magnetorheological effect that the magnetorheological fluid is in low liquidity and high viscosity. Then, the transmission speed of the piston rod is changed, which is presented as a damping characteristic, reducing the pause and transition in the spine apparatus, and improving the flexibility and the bionic performance of the robot.

Contacting the hierarchical mesoporous zeolite support with the solution deposits or adsorbs the first metal catalyst precursor and the second catalyst precursor onto outer surfaces and pore surfaces of the hierarchical mesoporous zeolite support to produce a multifunctional catalyst precursor. The method further includes removing excess solution and calcining the multifunctional catalyst precursor to produce the multifunctional catalyst comprising at least a first metal catalyst and a second metal catalyst deposited on the outer surfaces and pore surfaces of the hierarchical mesoporous zeolite support.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods for non-invasive prenatal screening (NIPS) of fetal aneuploidies. The present methods are based on analyzing cell-free fetal DNA (cff DNA) found in a pregnant woman's circulation through the next generation sequencing (NGS) technology. Particularly, the present methods analyze the relative abundance of different fetal genomic fragments present in the maternal sample, where the fragments can be aligned to particular chromosomal locations of the fetal genome. The relative abundance information is indicative as to whether a particular chromosome is overrepresented or underrepresented in a fetal genome as compared to normal individuals, and thus can be used to detect fetal aneuploidy. Additionally, methods for increasing the positive predictive values (PPV) of NIPS by excluding false-positive detections are also provided.
