  • Patent number: 7142221
Abstract: In a system including a color liquid crystal panel, a drive control device for driving the panel, and a microprocessor, the drive control device reduces the burden on the microprocessor as well as power consumption. In a liquid crystal display drive control device that incorporates a memory for storing image data displayed on a color liquid crystal panel, reads out the image data sequentially from the memory, generates image signals of the three primary colors for each pixel of the panel, and outputs the image signals from external output terminals, the drive control device includes a transparency arithmetic circuit that applies calculation processing to two image data read out from built-in memory and generates data for a transparent display, supplies display data generated by the transparency arithmetic circuit to a driver, and makes the driver generate and output drive signals to the liquid crystal panel.

  • Publication number: 20050280623
Abstract: A display control device and technique for controlling displays on a display unit, in which a plurality of display segments are two-dimensionally arranged (e.g. a dot matrix type display unit), is provided. The technique is effectively applicable to a write data latch circuit of a memory for storing display data in the display control device, such as, for example, a liquid crystal display control device, a mobile electronic apparatus, etc. A display drive control technique for controlling a moving picture display mode of a display device is also provided. The display drive control circuit controls a picture display mode of a display device for displaying still pictures and moving pictures to a liquid crystal display device, such as, for example, a dot matrix type display devices, an organic EL display device, etc.

  • Patent number: 6158109
Abstract: A spacer for mounting around the outer peripheral surface of a bobbin. The spacer has first and second edge surfaces formed in a circular arc shape. Subsequent to the formation of a first coil by winding wire around the bobbin, the wire is continuously curved from a distal end portion of the first coil along the first edge surface of the spacer. After making a U-turn of substantially 180 degrees, the wire is wound to form the second coil. Upon completion of winding of the second coil, the wire is guided along the second edge surface, from an end portion of the second coil, and a second portion of the first coil is wound. The portion of the wire for connecting both of the first and second coils is free from bent corners, thus avoiding the generation of stress concentration. Also, the wire is guided by smooth and curved edge surfaces of the spacer, thus preventing damage to a coating on the wire.

  • Patent number: 5909499
Abstract: A speaker including a magnetic circuit formed by an annular yoke and an annular magnet which are concentric around a central axis and face each other across a gap. The magnet includes an N pole region and an S pole region successively arranged along the central axis direction and divided by an imaginary boundary line. At rest, a first coil is positioned in the gap in the N pole region, and a second coil is positioned in the gap in the S pole region. When the coils are driven by an excessively large current, a portion of the first coil moves beyond the boundary line to enter the S pole region, thereby causing a gentle first damping force on the first coil to prevent an excessive displacement. Likewise, the excessive current causes the second coil to move beyond the boundary line to enter the N pole region, thereby causing a second damping force which is opposite in direction to the first damping force.

  • Patent number: 5778086
Abstract: An electronic device connection terminal including a holder, formed from an insulator, mounted on a metallic frame of the electronic device, and a metallic terminal embedded in the holder and having one end protruding from the holder inside of the frame, the metallic terminal having connected thereto a lead wire extending from an electronic circuit located inside the frame. An insulation wall extends from the holder to oppose the lead wire retained by the metallic terminal and is interposed between the metallic terminal and the inner wall of the frame. The insulation wall is integrally formed with the holder in order to prevent a short circuit of the lead wire to the inner wall of the frame.

  • Patent number: 5715324
Abstract: A speaker in which the inner peripheral face of a ring-shaped soft ferrite core is cemented to a cylindrical projection extending from a lower portion of a bowl-shaped frame. An outer peripheral surface of a co-axially disposed ring-shaped bond magnet is fitted into a recess of the frame. Two magnetic gaps are formed between facing surfaces of the ring-shaped bond magnet and the ring-shaped soft ferrite core. Two voice coils are mounted on a cylindrical bobbin and suspended from a vibratory diaphragm such that the voice coils are inserted into the magnetic gaps.
