  • Publication number: 20020052917
Abstract: To allow many users to efficiently use functions of a processing server that performs predetermined processing, via a network and also prevent a time during which an user can use the processing server, from being shortened due to a difference between the times recognized by the user side and processing server side. In a content supply system 100, in order to use a streaming server 102 to perform a live distribution, an user PC 106 to be used makes a reservation for a time zone, etc. to a server reservation control center 101 over the Internet 103. When the reservation is accepted, the server reservation control center 101 sends the real time information of the service provider side that controls the service time of the streaming server 102 based on the reservation, over the Internet 103.

  • Publication number: 20020052961
Abstract: To allow many users to efficiently use the functions of a processing server that performs predetermined processing, via a network and also to prevent interference by illegal users. In a content supply system 100, in order to use a streaming server 102 to perform a live distribution, a user PC 106 to be used makes a reservation for a time zone, etc. to a server reservation control center 101. When the reservation is accepted, the user PC 106 sends a reconfirmation (reconfirmation of the reservation) to the server reservation control center 101 by six hours before the distribution start time according to the reservation. If the reconfirmation is not made by six hours before, the server reservation control center 101 cancels the reservation. On the other hand, if the reconfirmation is made by six hours before, the server reservation control center 101 confirms the reservation and carries out billing processing.

  • Publication number: 20020038359
Abstract: To secure a communication path between a distribution server that distributes content to clients and a terminal apparatus of a content distributor more reliably while content is distributed by live distribution. In a content supply system 100, in order to use a streaming server 102 to perform a live distribution, a user PC 106 to be used makes a reservation for a time zone, etc. to a server reservation control center 101 over the Internet 103. When the reservation is accepted and the content is sent from the user PC 106 to the streaming server 102, data is sent via a dedicated server connection network 108.

  • Publication number: 20020027560
Abstract: In an information processing device, system operations can be simply performed while a screen of a display body is viewed, even the display body is folded against a main body. In the information processing device, a display body with a screen arranged on the front surface is connected to a main body having a keyboard mounted thereon so as to rotate in opening/folding directions and in a turning direction, and at least an operating button is provided at a position so as to be operable under the condition where the back surface of the display body is close to the main body, and a system menu is displayed on the screen according to operation of the operating button.

  • Publication number: 20020026512
Abstract: In a content live distribution, to notify people who are wanted to see the content that the contents live distribution will be performed, without the need for the content provider to carry out any troublesome operations. In a content supply system 100, a provider uses a streaming server 102 to perform live distribution and makes a reservation for the use of a time zone, etc. to a server reservation control center 101 with a user PC 106. In the case where the user PC 106 sends desired reservation information including e-mail addresses of people who are wanted to see the content, to the server reservation control center 101 over the Internet 103, when the reservation is permitted, the server reservation control center 101 sends an e-mail notifying that a content distribution will be performed to each e-mail address.
