Abstract: An information terminal unit is capable of inputting a desired character with lesser key stroke by eliminating unnecessary operation of a user. The information terminal unit obtains a file described by a page description language used on a browser function on a superior unit by means of the browser function, parses the page description language of the obtained file, and displays a result of parsing of the page description language. The information terminal unit has control means for dynamically controlling an order of appearance of display characters upon inputting character, depending upon an attribute of a kind of input character designated in a character input tag used in the page description language.

Abstract: A keyboard device incorporating a power supply checks whether or not the power supply is turned on. If it is, the device determines whether or not the device is connected to a cellular phone. If the connection is determined, the keyboard device is set to an active state and a light emitting diode (LED) in an LED portion is turned on to indicate the active state. If the keyboard device is not connected to the cellular phone, the device is set to a standby state. In this state, the keyboard device is in a mode where a connection state with respect to a cellular phone is monitored, without turning on the LED. The power dissipated in the power supply of the keyboard device is minimized, thus the device is capable of operating for a long period of time.

Abstract: There is obtained a telephone set capable of preventing a noise generated by an operation of application software during voice communication from being sent to a speech counterpart. In a mobile telephone set, if a user operates activated application software other than voice communication related application software when the mobile telephone set is in voice communication with another telephone set via a communication network, the mobile telephone set requests hold of the voice communication from the communication network. This causes the voice communication to be held, thereby preventing a noise generated by the above operation from being sent to the another telephone set.

Abstract: Upon detection of a change in the state of the cover part and the body part from open to close by the box open/close detecting part of a mobile telephone unit, the controlling part controls the mobile telephone unit so as to connect to a pre-specified Internet site which the user uses frequently, if any; upon detection of a change in the state of the cover part from open to close, the controlling part releases the connection to the Internet site to which the mobile telephone unit is presently connected, if any.

Abstract: A mobile telephone according to the invention is provided with a controller for executing an application program, a speaker operated according to an instruction of the controller, a light emitting element and a vibrator, the controller notifies the application program of information for controlling either or both of the lighting of the light emitting element or/and the vibration of the vibrator in synchronization with the performance of melody data when the melody data is performed via the speaker while the application program including the performance of the melody data is executed, either or both a pattern of the lighting of the light emitting element or/and a pattern of the vibration of the vibrator is/are controlled in synchronization with the performance of the melody data and the application program is executed.

Abstract: A mobile communication terminal device capable of communication with a Web server on a network comprising a controller for obtaining tone information or a tone information set used for a call arrival ringer sounds, key identification sounds or game sounds from a Web server. The controller stores the tone information in a tone data table in memory. The controller sets the tone information and the sound generation duration in a tone generator. The tone generator generates sound with a tone conforming to the set tone information during the sound generation through a speaker.

Abstract: A portable information terminal equipment with a browser function includes an image information acquisition section for acquiring image information constituted by at least image data and display sequence information of the image data from a Web server through a communication line, a storage section for storing the image information acquired by the image acquisition section, and a display section for displaying image data on the basis of the display sequence information contained in the image information stored in the storage section. A display method for the portable information terminal equipment is also disclosed.

Abstract: The ease of opening of a tubular casing is facilitated based on a plastic film comprising three or more layers. The tubular sealed casing (1) for packaging the contents therein is based on a composite plastic film formed into a tubular form by bending the base film into a circular form, overlaying two edges of the bent base film, and heat-sealing the overlaid section so that a not heat-sealed section (8) will be left in an edge section of an upper film when the two edges thereof are overlaid on each other. The casing base film (2) is a composite plastic film comprising three or more layers. In this casing, the peel strength between the outer layer (5) and intermediate layer film (3) is set to a lower level as compared to the peel strength between the inner layer film (4) and intermediate layer film (3).

Abstract: A keyboard device is provided, which is available even when it is impossible to get sufficient brightness at hand. The keyboard device comprises a key operation section to which a key input is executed, a key backlight in the keyboard configuring the key operation section, a communication control section sending input operation signal operated by a key input, and a photosensor measuring brightness around the keyboard in the act of operating. On the basis of the value of the brightness measured by the photosensor, it is controlled whether the backlight should be turned on or off. By this configuration, it is possible to use the keyboard in the dark and draw up such as e-mail. Further, by turning on and off the key backlight according to the brightness around the keyboard, it is possible to reduce power consumption when the keyboard device is driven by batteries.

Abstract: This invention relates to a method for removing unreacted monomers and other volatile matters from a polymer solution composition produced from a mixture containing an aromatic vinyl monomer, utilizes two or more flash devolatilizing vessels, and effects the removal by adjusting the solid content of the polymer solution composition at the outlet of the devolitilizer before the last-stage devolitilizer to a level in excess of 97%, adding 0.5-4 parts by weight of a foaming agent to the total polymer solution composition, passing the polymer solution composition through the last-stage devolitilizer while maintaining the pressure of the polymer solution at 10 kg/cm2 or more by means of a pressure controller and the temperature in the range 190-260° C., introducing the polymer solution composition to a vapor-liquid separation vessel maintained at a vacuum of 20 Torr or less, and allowing the composition to foam.

Abstract: In a network system including a wireless mobile communications system, when establishing a connection between a wireless mobile terminal and a host computer connected to a stationary network system, the wireless mobile terminal produces a connection establishment request signal including first information which is required to obtain services from the host computer and then transmits the connection establishment request signal to the host computer. The host computer verifies the first information included in the connection establishment request signal received from the wireless mobile terminal and transmits a response signal back to the wireless mobile terminal only when the first information has been verified. This causes the connection to be established between the wireless mobile terminal and the host computer.

Abstract: A mobile communication terminal and its ringing method are provided for sounding an incoming ring tone and a tone for notifying reception of an e-mail in various tones. A portable telephone serving as the mobile communication terminal includes an operating part, a timer, a memory, a display, a display controller, an interface, a tone generator, a speaker and a controller. The tone generator changes settings of ringing tones based on tone information contained in melody data fetched from a server equipment and stored in the memory. It is therefore possible to play melodies in accordance with desired incoming ring tone patterns in various tones, based on user settings entered from the operating part.

Abstract: A removable memory device includes a memory for storing individual information therein, and a memory manager for protecting the memory when the removable memory device is not connected to a portable terminal device and for allowing access thereto when the removable memory device is connected to the portable terminal. A controller physically part of the removable memory device, is used for detecting an interconnection with the portable terminal device and for controlling the memory manager. The removable memory device protects the individual information stored within it from being illegally used.

Alternatively, if the destination has a function for decompressing compressed data, the compressed transmitted data is transmitted in a batch, while, if the destination does not have the function for decompression compressed data, the compressed transmitted data is decompressed and transmitted.

Abstract: Rubber-modified styrenic resin compositions of this invention comprise 90 to 30% by weight of rubber-modified styrenic resins (A) containing rubbery polymers dispersed with an average particle diameter of 0.3 to 2.0 .mu.m in the phase of styrenic polymers (C) and 10 to 70% by weight of styrene-(meth)acrylate ester copolymer resins (B) and, in said compositions, the content of (meth)acrylate ester units is 5 to 50% by weight and the toluene-insolubles (% by weight: X) and the rubber component (% by weight: Y) are present at a ratio (X/Y) in the range from 1.2 to 3.5. The compositions excel in appearance, scratch resistance, impact resistance and rigidity and are easy to fabricate.

Abstract: Data communications are carried out between portable information terminals through infrared radiation with an energy source which may be either a battery in each of the portable information terminals or an external power supply therefor, at a data transmission rate which is relatively low when the portable information terminal is operated by the battery. If the power source is the incased battery, the data transmission rate is switched to a low rate, data to be transmitted are compressed, and the respective numbers of bits "0" and "1" contained in the compressed data are compared with each other. If the number of bits which require a greater amount of electric energy for transmission is greater than the other number of bits, then the value of bits is inverted. Data indicative of the low data transmission rate, the compression of the data, and whether the value of bits has been inverted or not are coded into header data which are added to the compressed data for transmission.

Abstract: A photosensitive colored resin composition for the formation of colored images includes (a) a resin-based material hardenable with an acid, (b) a photoreactive acid-releasing agent, and (c) a pigment.A colored image formation method of a color filter suitable for liquid crystal display panel applications includes the steps of:(1) coating a photosensitive colored resin composition including (a) a resin-based material hardenable with an acid, (b) a photoreactive acid-releasing agent, and (c) a pigment on a transparent substrate, and drying the coating to form a colored resin layer;(2) pattern exposing the colored resin layer;(3) heating the exposed colored resin layer; and(4) developing the exposed and heated colored resin layer with an alkaline developing solution to form a colored image on the transparent substrate,the steps being repeated to form a multi-colored image on the same substrate.
