  • Publication number: 20180286223
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for connecting traffic signal control infrastructure, in-service transit vehicles, and back-end computing and service systems, and providing an adaptable user interface, remotely effecting a change on a Portable Electronic Device (PED), verifying location of transit vehicles and tailoring information to the behavior of a transit operator. System determines an “optimal window” for a transit vehicle to travel through a maximum number of consecutive traffic signals during the green vehicular phase. The system determines and sends a recommended speed to traverse the optimal window. In a case where an optimal window is not possible under current circumstances, the system determines and then advises the driver to remain at the current station for a specified dwell time.

  • Patent number: 10024628
Abstract: A firearm slide includes a mounting plate that is removably connected to a planar mounting surface of the firearm slide. A rear sight is removably attached to the mounting plate so that different types or styles of rear sights may be used with the firearm. Upon removing the mounting plate itself, various mounting features defined in the planar mounting surface of the slide are exposed. These mounting features can be used to attach any of a variety of accessories (whether a telescopic sight, a red dot sight, a light, or other accessory) directly to the exposed planar mounting surface of the slide.

  • Patent number: 9937628
Abstract: A safety device for a mechanical motion device and a method for protecting a person or object in the vicinity of a mechanical motion device are described herein. The safety device may include: a shroud; a coupling mechanism; and a detection device. The coupling mechanism joins the shroud in a displaceable manner to a mechanical motion device. The detection device is configured for communication with the safety control system of a mechanical motion device. The detection device is capable of detecting misalignment of the shroud from its initial aligned position and/or a collision between the shroud and a person or object. The detection device may send a signal to the safety control system of the mechanical motion device to at least slow the movement of the mechanical motion device before the mechanical motion device reaches the location of the collision of the shroud with an object or person.

  • Publication number: 20170346781
Abstract: A first notification of a first action by a user with respect to a first content item may be received by a computer system, the first content item having a first relationship to the user. A second notification of a second notification by the user with respect to a second content item may be received by the computer system. The second content item may have a second relationship to the user, and at least a portion of the second content item may correspond to at least a portion of the first content item. A first property of the first relationship may be managed by the computer system based on the second notification.

  • Publication number: 20170279479
Abstract: A wireless communication device includes a first circuit including a baseband circuit and a radio circuit, and at least one frontend module (FEM) remote from the first circuit and placed in close proximity to and coupled to at least one radio-frequency (RF) antenna. The FEM is coupled to the first circuit via interface circuitry. An FEM comprises a frontend (FE) circuit including one or more low-noise amplifiers (LNAs), one or more power amplifiers (PAs), and at least one of a multi-pole switch and a multiplexer. The multi-pole switch and the multiplexer being implemented on a first side of the FEM coupled to the interface circuitry. The interface circuitry includes at least some of filters, splitters, multi-pole switches, and multiplexers to reduce a count of interconnect routes to the at least one FEM.

  • Patent number: 9718201
Abstract: A shaving razor with a handle having a gripping portion extending along a longitudinal axis and a head. A cartridge mounted to the handle and has a shaving surface with at least one blade having a blade edge, and an opposing surface. The cartridge has a forward and a rearward pivot position relative to the handle. A pivot locking mechanism positioned on the head of the handle having a pusher member that slides toward and away from the cartridge between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The pusher member in the engaged position directly contacts the opposing surface of the cartridge forcing the cartridge in the forward position preventing the cartridge from pivoting with respect to the handle. The pusher member in the disengaged position is spaced apart from the opposing surface of the cartridge in the forward position allowing the cartridge to pivot relative to the handle.

  • Patent number: 9677540
Abstract: A yaw backup system is provided. The yaw backup system includes an energy storage medium for storing auxiliary power. The yaw backup system also includes a yaw controller for coordinating delivery of power from the energy storage medium to a yaw motor for controlling a yaw angle of a wind turbine during grid loss conditions. The yaw controller executes the steps of receiving wind direction signals over time from a sensor, altering a tolerance level of a wind turbine based on changes in the wind direction signals over time and controlling delivery of power to the yaw motor from the auxiliary power of the energy storage medium based on the tolerance level to control the yaw angle for reducing a load on the wind turbine induced by wind.
