  • Patent number: 10268661
Abstract: Review systems and methods facilitate active reading by providing a flexible environment in which users can examine documents. A review system can comprise a virtual workspace, a document view region, a preview region, and optional document objects. The virtual workspace can simulate a desktop or other physical workspace. The document view region can display a portion of an open document at a magnification sufficient for reading. The preview region can display the document at a magnification sufficient to enable the general layout of the entire document to be determined. The document objects can be created from the document through tools of the review system. These document objects can be independently moveable throughout the virtual workspace as needed to facilitate the user's active reading process.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a copper pillar. The method includes forming a layer of titanium tungsten (TiW) over a semiconductor wafer, forming a layer of zinc (Zn) over the layer of TiW, and forming a copper pillar over the via. In addition, the method includes performing an anneal to diffuse the layer of Zn into the copper pillar. A semiconductor device that includes a layer of TiW coupled to a via of a semiconductor wafer and a copper pillar coupled to the layer of TiW. The copper pillar has interdiffused Zn within its bottom portion. Another method for fabricating a copper pillar includes forming a layer of TiW over a semiconductor wafer, forming a first patterned photoresist, forming a layer of Zn, and then removing the first patterned photoresist. The method further includes forming a second patterned photoresist and forming a copper pillar.

  • Patent number: 10191385
Abstract: An super-resolution system for nano-patterning is disclosed, comprising an exposure head that enables a super-resolution patterning exposures. The super-resolution exposures are carried out using electromagnetic radiation directed onto a medium using plasmonic structures, and in particular using plasmonic structures using specially designed super-resolution apertures, of which the “bow-tie” and “C-aperture” are examples. These specially designed apertures create small but bright images in the near-field transmission pattern. A printing head comprising an array of these apertures is held in close proximity to a medium for patterning. In some embodiments, a data processing system is provided to re-interpret the data to be patterned into a set of modulation signals used to drive the multiple individual channels and multiple exposures.

  • Publication number: 20180336728
Abstract: The quality of service one may expect from a given network is often hard to determine in advance. Further, given agreements between network service providers and a variety of content providers, the complexity inherent in selecting a given available network is increasing for consumers. Embodiments described herein provide mechanisms for creating an augmented reality presentation of networks and the service quality of those networks. The presentation may display information regarding a variety of factors including content transit agreements with content providers, quality-of-service or prioritization guarantees for certain types of content, or low-level Wi-Fi signal quality. These presentations allow users to ascertain where in a given spatial area good quality is available for whichever services they intend to use.

Abstract: Thrust reverser assemblies and a method of operating an aircraft during a landing approach mode of operation are provided. The thrust reverser assembly includes a moveable portion that is moveable over a continuous range of travel between a fully stowed position and a fully deployed position. Movement away from the fully stowed position opens a bleed passage. An actuator assembly coupled to the moveable portion is operable in an intermediate forward thrust mode to modulate a position of the moveable portion along the continuous range of travel, such that an air flow through the bleed passage is correspondingly varied. A throttle device includes a first position associated with deployment of, and a second position associated with engagement of, the intermediate forward thrust mode of operation. A drag flap assembly may extend from the bleed passage during the intermediate forward thrust mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 10099310
Abstract: A welding tool has a handle with a base end and an exit end. A bottom plate is affixed to the base end and preferably encloses the base end of the handle. A washer is affixed to the exit end of the handle. The washer defines an orifice and provides a surface for preventing a user's hand from slipping during use of the welding tool. A plurality of rods extends outwardly from the handle through the orifice. The rods are preferably affixed to the bottom plate at a base end and have a surface contacting end. The rods are sized to permit limited flexure, but to still be substantially rigid to effectively remove slag from a weld.

  • Publication number: 20180293351
Abstract: Systems and methods, as well as devices, are described for clinical resource generation. CCDA documents that include clinical information and observations are utilized to generate FHIR model instances that are specific to the CCDA documents. Path definitions are assigned for each information-value pair the CCDA documents that define mappings between the information-value pairs and objects of FHIR model instances. Objects for the instance models are created, and values are provided to the objects representative of the information-value pairs. Groups of objects are provided in FHIR resource bundles that are stored in a database which may be queried against to provide specific FHIR resources upon request. Requests for clinical information may be used to trigger the generation of the FHIR resource bundles.
