  • Publication number: 20230231910
Abstract: Embodiments may relate to pruning a distributed database for a peer-to-peer (P2P) network. A node may transmit a first multicast beacon over the P2P network. The node may receive a unicast synchronization request in response to the first multicast beacon, the unicast synchronization request comprising a removed list for the distributed database. The node may compare the removed list to a locally stored node list to determine a node removal. The node may determine if there is a failure in a node information call made to a node relating to the node removal. The node may, subsequent to a determination of the failure, update the locally stored node list based on the node removal. The node may transmit a second multicast beacon comprising the node removal. Nodes receiving the second multicast beacon may update a locally stored removed list using the node removal.

  • Patent number: 11602287
Abstract: Aspects include identifying each of a plurality of audio sources proximate to a user wearing a headset. The audio sources include a primary audio source and a plurality of background audio sources. Aspects include causing the headset to play a set of audio sources to the user by causing each audio source of the set to be unfiltered by the headset. Aspects include determining an acceptance level of the user. Aspects also include determining a background noise filtering adjustment based on the acceptance level and the set of audio sources being played by the headset to the user. Aspects also include causing the headset to adjust a filtering of one or more of the plurality of background audio sources by the headset based on the background noise filtering adjustment.

  • Publication number: 20220381347
Abstract: A seal assembly for a rotatable shaft assembly includes a seal housing and each of a main seal and a dust seal extending circumferentially around a seal housing center axis. The dust seal includes a radially inward dust seal lip, and is formed by a sealing layer having a plurality of ventilation openings formed therein, and a debris-blocking filter layer attached to the sealing layer and positioned across the ventilation openings. The main seal and dust seal assist in maintaining lubricating oil within a seal cavity. The dust seal prevents entry of debris whilst ventilating the seal cavity to limit carbonization of oil on seal assembly components. In an implementation the seal assembly is part of a rotatable crankshaft assembly.

  • Patent number: 11473678
Abstract: An electronic parking pawl actuator which uses a smaller motor and higher gear ratio has the ability to configure a rooster comb to engage with various park detents, and reduces the mechanical and software design complexity. Furthermore, the electronic park actuator limits the amount of back drivable range (unable to perform an external park to neutral shift) for theft deterrence, and also allows operation (speed performance) and a lower motor peak current. The electronic parking pawl actuator includes an electric motor, a drive gear, the drive gear operable for being driven by the electric motor, and a drive mechanism, the drive mechanism is operable for being driven by the drive gear. The drive mechanism is engaged with an output shaft of a gear selector of a transmission, and the drive mechanism is rotatable relative to the drive gear, allowing the output shaft to be located in a desired position.

  • Publication number: 20220198933
Abstract: This invention relates to systems and methods that provide compensation for participants in a cooperative driving or autonomous driving platoon based on their role within said platoon. Certain roles in these types of platoons provide a natural benefit. Other roles in the same platoon provide either less of a benefit, zero benefit or a burden. It is unlikely that a participating vehicle would willingly choose a role with a lesser benefit or burden; thereby significantly reducing the probability that a platoon could form. The system and methods within this invention overcome that economic disincentive; thereby removing an obstacle to cooperative driving or autonomous platoons.

  • Publication number: 20220179905
Abstract: In an approach for dynamically generating correctly formatted Extensible Markup Language (XML) based off of a subset of data from a database, a processor receives an input pointing to a subset of data. A processor collects the subset of data from existing sources. A processor modifies the subset of data using wildcarding to generate a modified subset of data. A processor generates a set of XML files from the modified subset of data. A processor creates an immutable record of the subset of data, the modified subset of data, and the set of XML files. A processor outputs the set of XML files.

  • Publication number: 20220045989
Abstract: An apparatus receives an upper layer packet that includes data from a source device, a virtual private network (VPN) identification, a destination address, and a destination option type. The apparatus authenticates the upper layer packet by comparing the VPN identification of the received upper layer packet to a customer VPN identification. The apparatus determines whether the apparatus recognizes the destination option type of the upper layer packet. The apparatus discards the upper layer packet on a condition that the apparatus does not recognize the destination option type. The apparatus decapsulates the upper layer packet into a lower layer packet and transmits the decapsulated packet to a destination on a condition that the apparatus recognizes the destination option type.
