  • Publication number: 20100325802
Abstract: Improved face cradles, more properly called head cradles, provide increased comfort for clients. Various embodiments of novel frontal and temporal skull support pads eliminate the discomforts of existing face cradles. The head cradle embodiments remove the pressure caused by conventional horseshoe face cradles. These pressures can cause facial discomfort, congestion, and restricted breathing, all of which can adversely affect the ability of the user to maximize relaxation. In addition to novel pad embodiments, the head cradles features embodiments whereby the support bars that attach to the support pads, as well as the support pads, can provide a variety of possible adjustments (e.g. lowered, raised, widened, narrowed, lengthened, and angled) to accommodate individual users. Some embodiments mimic fingers of human hands.

  • Publication number: 20100321466
Abstract: A handheld, wireless digital audio and/or video device that receives compressed media, decompresses the compressed media, and plays and/or displays the decompressed media. The receiver may be part of a system of handheld, wireless devices that compress, enhance, encode, transmit, decompress and display digital video images in real time. An enhanced iPod-type device includes wireless and/or cellular communications, a high-resolution display and a high-resolution video camera. Real time wireless videoconferences connect multiple handheld video devices. Real time compression and real time transmission is achieved. Real time decompression is achieved by decoding and decompressing the encoded data to display high quality images. A zoom control can be used select a portion of interest of video being captured and/or transmitted. The receiver may also have a touch sensitive display screen providing controls for video display and mobile telephone operation.

  • Publication number: 20100304899
Abstract: A leg glove, or leg mitten, having pockets for the hands of a lifter used when lifting a person who is jumping or being lifted, especially for lineouts in Rugby Union. The leg glove pockets have downward diagonal facing pocket openings. The simple, reusable, easy to use leg glove provides a level of effectiveness, comfort, convenience, and safety not provided by conventional methods. The leg glove is simply made from a single piece of flexible, elastic material, such as neoprene. A fold creates a base layer and a partially overlapping pocket layer. The pocket is secured and held open with a pocket attachment and base attachment forming pocket openings. The pocket openings are configured to face downward on a diagonal. An improved leg glove further comprises a non-elastic base strap. To use, leg gloves are applied to the legs of a jumper. When the jumper jumps, one or more lifters place their hands in the leg glove pockets.

  • Patent number: 7841355
Abstract: An easy to use, reliable, easy to repair, universal, simple, lightweight, compact, portable, multi-use modular system of poles and interconnections. An operator configures a number of structures using brackets, supports, segmented shafts, and interconnection components. The segmented shafts have both the ability to make an attachment to retain a particular configuration while being able to break down the shafts for transportation or storage. Some embodiments include a sleeve that protects the tip of a pole and provide a cushion and separation between a pole and a ferrule thereby reducing breakage and increase reliability. Broken components are easily replaced in the field. The configuration of the structure is changed by the user to quickly adapt to changing needs. Multiple components can be carried by separate members of a group and combined together to form a more complex structure to meet the needs of the group.

  • Patent number: 7766022
Abstract: An easy to use, universal, simple, lightweight, compact, portable, dynamically configurable and modular system of concealment and shelter. An operator configures a number of concealment blinds or shelters using brackets, supports, segmented shafts, covers, curtains, and skirts, and more complex modules. The segmented shafts have both the ability to make an attachment to retain a particular configuration while being able to break down the shafts for transportation or storage. The brackets and supports are used to secure a configuration to a tree, the ground, or a hand held device. Advanced modules include user adjustable domes and cylindrical arches. The system can be configured for placement on a hillside or over rough terrain and obstacles. Multiple modules can be carried by separate members of a group and combined together to form a more complex structure to meet the needs of the group. The system provides a novel star window with independently opening sections.

  • Publication number: 20100184537
Abstract: Low cost, durable, reusable, lightweight, inexpensive, simple, easy to assemble/disassemble, transportable goal posts. The goal posts may be composed of single piece T reinforcement and single piece cross bar reinforcements, as well as readily available construction materials, such as PVC pipe. The bodies of the single piece reinforcements are sized so that the pipes forming the upright posts and crossbar have the same length. Assembly, disassembly, and transportation are simplified. The disassembled components can be carried in vans and SUVs. Internal reinforcements allow flexible, low cost materials such as PVC pipe to be used while maintaining a professional, aesthetic appearance.

  • Patent number: 7698653
Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) graphically corresponds to an image display window through which a single image or a stream of images or video frames are displayed. The GUI includes a zoom control box having an inner region positioned within an outer region. The size of the inner region relative to the outer region represents the magnification of the portion of the image being displayed within the image display window. The magnification of the image being displayed is increased by using a cursor control device to position a cursor within the inner region and clicking the cursor control device. The magnification of the image being displayed is decreased by using the cursor control device to position the cursor outside of the inner region but inside of the outer region and clicking the cursor control device. As the magnification is increased or decreased, the size of the inner region relative to the outer region is changed accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20090271907
Abstract: A leg handle with preferably hollow cylindrical sections, is used to aid in lifting a jumping player, especially for lineouts in Rugby Union. The handles are preferably made of one or more foam sausages attached to a thin stretch fabric sleeve which is placed the leg of the jumper and when jumping allow for secure grasp by lifters. The simple, reusable, easy to use leg handles provide a level of effectiveness, comfort, convenience, and safety not provided by conventional methods. To use, leg handles are applied to one or more legs of a jumper and held in place with tape. When the jumper jumps, one or more lifters place there hands against the leg handle. The lifters lift the jumper higher, support the jumper in the jump while the jumper attempts to intercept a ball, and safely lower the jumper.

A new use of temporary tattoo devices and process to apply one of many predetermined camouflaged patterns to uncovered skin. In one embodiment, a continuous camouflage pattern is applied the entire face and ears. In another embodiment, a pattern is applied to portions of the face and neck. In yet another embodiment, a camouflage pattern is composed of camouflage elements, each applied by multiple applicators. Sets of applicators apply portions of a particular pattern. Books contain multiple sets of the same pattern, or sets of multiple patterns. Camouflage is used for hunting and military concealment. Other uses include reproducing makeup designs for stage and video actors, costume wearers, and sports fanatics.
