  • Publication number: 20040229417
Abstract: Resist patterns (R11 and R12) are formed such that an opening between both the films is aligned to the position, where the source electrode (7) is formed, while the region on the N+-layer (5), where the drain electrode (8) is formed afterwards, is covered by the resist film (R11). After ohmic electrode material is applied from a direction perpendicular to a semiconductor substrate (1), the resist films (R11 and R12) are removed with the ohmic electrode films (OM11 and OM12). The remaining ohmic electrode film (OM14) functions as the source electrode (7). After the above-described first lift off process, the second lift off process is performed to form a drain electrode (8) on the N+-layer (5).

  • Patent number: 6811735
Abstract: A method for forming tear lines in the rear side of an automobile interior article having a cover portion being developed from which an airbag inflates. When either an automobile interior article body having an integrally molded surface portion or an automobile interior article surface portion is to be molded, the mold is opened after tear line forming projections are moved forward and backward with the mold closed. Thus, the tear lines can be formed at the molding time without any visible extrusion marks of the tear line forming projections on the front surface side (the design face).

  • Patent number: 6742803
Abstract: An automobile interior member which is represented by an instrument panel and to which an air bag device is to be assembled, is constituted by a main body portion and an air bag cover portion, the main body portion and the air bag cover portion being formed in a manner so that the main body portion is primarily molded (injection-molded) out of first thermoplastic resin material, and the air bag cover portion is secondarily molded (injection-molded) so as to be lapped with the main body portion on the back surface side. The second thermoplastic resin is oriented in a direction along a tear line (edges of rotational lid portions) of the lid portions (door portions) in the air bag cover portion so that the air bag cover portion is secondarily molded.

  • Publication number: 20030209890
Abstract: An interior finish member having a door suitable for an air bag comprises a main body and a cover portion. The main body surrounds the periphery of the cover portion, and the main body and the cover portion form a continuous surface. The cover portion covers a folded air bag of an air bag device. The cover portion comprises: a door portion which covers the folded air bag; a breakable portion defined by a recessed periphery of the door portion whose thickness is thinner than adjacent portions of the interior finish member so that it may be broken easily in deployment of the air bag; and a hinge portion for connecting the door portion with the main body and for providing a pivot around which the door portion rotates when the door portion opens under a force of an expanding air bag. The main body is made of thermoplastic resin, and the cover portion is made of thermoplastic elastomer. Because they are capable of thermally fusing with each other, the main body and the cover portion can be integrally formed.

  • Patent number: 6313504
Abstract: A vertical MOS semiconductor device in accordance with the present invention is provided with a semiconductor base; and a vertical MOS transistor having a well diffusion layer of a conductive type opposite to that of the semiconductor base, and a source diffusion layer of the same conductive type as that of the semiconductor base; wherein a channel length in a horizontal direction with respect to a main surface of the semiconductor base from a junction of the source diffusion layer to a junction of the well diffusion layer is set such that it is larger than a length at which a punch-through phenomenon takes place between the semiconductor base and the source diffusion layer and at which a minimum resistance value of the well diffusion layer is obtained. This arrangement makes it possible to reduce the size of the entire vertical MOS semiconductor device to 90% as compared with a conventional vertical MOS semiconductor device, without sacrificing a high breakdown voltage characteristic.

  • Patent number: 6004498
Abstract: A resin part such as an instrument panel, a console box or door trim has a substrate body made of hard resin and a skin mounted on a surface of the substrate. To produce the resin part, a preformed elastic sheet is set within a mold cavity. Then, a molten resin is injected into the cavity through gates. The molten resin is first injected into the cavity through gates that are opposed to the skin and after the passage of a predetermined time, the resin is injected through gates that are not opposed to the skin, thereby forming a substrate that has the skin thermally fused to a surface thereof.
