  • Patent number: 6343787
Abstract: There is provided a sheeting transport apparatus comprising two roller pairs as a component of an auxiliary scan transport mechanism in optical beam scanners and an anti-positional offset mechanism that is provided between the two roller pairs to prevent any positional offset of sheeting that may occur in the depth direction from the optical scan position, for example a retaining roller pair including a fixed roller and a retainer roller capable of adjusting the force of urging the fixed roller. This apparatus further includes opening and closing mechanisms for independently advancing or retracting a roller of each roller pair with respect to a fixed roller, and drive units thereof. This apparatus is a small, compact and low-cost apparatus that is simple in configuration and which yet is optimal for precise image reading and recording purposes. The apparatus is capable of suppressing the adverse effects of curl and other undesirable phenomena in the sheeting.

  • Publication number: 20020008749
Abstract: A recording sheet is sequentially fed by the transfer roller pairs, first and second feeding roller pairs and a belt conveyor. The feeding speed V1 of the transfer roller pairs including variation is set to be slower than the feeding speed V2 of the feeding roller pairs. The feeding speed V3 of the belt conveyor including variation is set to be faster than that of the feeding roller pairs. When the recording sheet is transferred to the first feeding roller pair from the transfer roller pairs, one-way clutches in the transfer roller pairs are actuated, to race the transfer roller pairs at the feeding speed V2. Before the recording sheet passes the second feeding roller pair completely, the recording sheet is fed at the speed V2 with the leading end portion thereof being slipped on the belt conveyor.

  • Publication number: 20010054792
Abstract: First and second feeding roller pairs are disposed at positions upstream and downstream of a recording position to record an image onto a recording sheet. Each of the first and second feeding roller pairs includes a capstan roller and a pinch roller, which are located below and above a passage of the recording sheet. The capstan roller and the pinch roller has plural orbital grooves arranged along an axial direction, to relax the strain of the recording sheet with respect to the widthwise direction of the recording sheet. The depth of the orbital grooves of the pinch rollers are set to 0.3 mm, which is shallower than that of the orbital grooves of the capstan rollers. The shallow orbital grooves of the pinch rollers are capable of suppress the curl of the recording sheet effectively.

Abstract: A mobile communication system includes a switching unit, a plurality of radio base stations, and a mobile station. The switching unit processes a call from an originating terminal. The radio base stations have service areas allowing radio communication and are connected to the switching unit. The mobile station performs radio communication with the radio base station within the service area. The switching unit includes a switching section, a database, and a message forming section. The switching section performs switching/connection between the originating terminal and the mobile station on a terminating side through the radio base station. The database stores last registration time recognized by the mobile station. The message forming section forms a speech message including the last registration time stored in the database and outputting the message to the originating terminal when there is no response from the mobile station with respect to a terminating operation.

  • Patent number: 4781645
Abstract: An inflatable bag comprises a small sack which is charged with sodium bicarbonate and accommodating a small externally breakable container filled with an acidic solution. The small sack is enveloped in an inflatable bag member which is made of a synthetic resin having no permeability to the gas which is generated as a reaction between the sodium bicarbonate and the acidic solution. As the small container is collapsed by external pressure, the acidic solution flows out of the container into reaction with the sodium bicarbonate, thereby generating carbon dioxide gas. The small sack is punctured by the gas pressure with a sound of a bang or a whistle and, thereafter, the inflatable gas member is gradually inflated. It is possible to use a plurality of small sacks made of a material which exhibits small extension, such that one small sack is contained in another sack.

  • Patent number: 4265940
Abstract: A roller of the type useable as either of the pair of pressure applying rollers used in an instant photographic camera wherein a film unit consisting of a photosensitive element, an image receiving element and a rupturable pod containing a processing fluid is passed between a pair of pressure applying rollers which apply compressive pressure to the film unit so as to rupture the pod and dispenses the processing fluid between and in contact with the photosensitive element and the image receiving element to initiate a diffusion transfer process. The roller has a round roller body having fine surface irregularities and a plated layer of nickel which is reduction separated on the surface of the roller by using the roller material as a catalyst. The plated layer separated on the surface of the roller is of uniform thickness. The roller may be heat hardened after the nickel layer is reduction separated.
