    Abstract: A radiator hose is provided with an inner tube rubber and a cover rubber. The inner tube rubber is coiled on the outer circumference with filament yarns made of nylon 6,6 separating predetermined spaces each other. The filament yarns are twisted at predetermined twist number before coiling, and pass through an adhesive agent supplying step, a dry-heating step while applying tension to the filament yarns and reel-hank steps, and goes into a wet-heating step. For the wet-heating step, the filament yarns are given temperature equivalent to a vulcanizing temperature, applying no tension to the filament yarns. By the wet- and dry-heating, the filament yarns are prevented from biting into the inner tube rubber. Since the filament yarns are immersed into the solution of an adhesive agent before the dry-heating, the solution attached on the filament yarns is dried off rapidly by the dry-heating thereafter.

    Abstract: A hose connector connects a hose with a pipe which projects through a mounting member, and includes a connector body, an intermediate member and a grommet. The connector body includes a hose connector member, and a pipe connector member. The intermediate member is detachably engaged with the connector body, and includes a second engager and an engager claw. The intermediate member can be assembled with the connector body by simply engaging the second engager with the first engager of the connector body, and can be assembled with the mounting member by simply engaging the engager claw with a mounting hole of the mounting member. The grommet is held on the intermediate member so as to seal a periphery of the mounting hole of the mounting member. The hose connector enables not only to connect a hose with a pipe by snap action, but also to project a pipe through the mounting member by a reduced length.

    Abstract: A branched hose connector includes a branched inner pipe substantially made from a suitable lightweight material, a plurality of hoses connected onto the branched inner pipe, a cover covering the branched inner pipe and a portion of the hoses to join the branched inner pipe and the hoses, and an integrally formed flange projecting outwardly. The branched hose connector is lightweight so that it can be installed with ease via the flange, and it can be manufactured easily and less expensively. Further, the branched hose connector can include a valve member, and a convexity and a concavity provided on opposing end surfaces of the branched inner pipe and the valve member. With these extra features, the valve member can be tightened into the branched inner pipe with a predetermined appropriate torque by a manual operation alone, and it can resist loosening by vibrations, or the like.

    Abstract: A hose connecting assembly comprises a connecting tube 1 made of a resin, flexible hoses 21, 22 and 23 each having a reinforced layer which is braided with reinforcing threads, into which the connecting tube 1 is inserted, and a resin cover 3 which covers coupling portions between the hoses and the connecting tube integrally therewith. The cover 3 is formed by molding and includes a reinforcing filler and has a post-shrinkage factor of 0.2 to 0.9%. The hoses have inner diameters which have been increased 10 to 30% by the insertion of the connecting tube 1 thereto. Stress cracks are prevented from occurring and high sealing pressure is provided.

    Abstract: A process for producing a hose having a connecting portion includes the steps of a connecting step, and a molding step. In the molding step, a dividable mold is employed in which a first sealing member and a second sealing member are retained so as to form a sealing ring. The sealing ring firmly retains a hose in the mold without pinching and damaging it. Further, the mating surfaces of the first sealing member and the second sealing member are disposed so as to deviate from the center of the sealing ring. Furthermore, a chucking member adapted for locally pressing the hose is disposed adjacent to the sealing ring. Moreover, a recessing portion communicating with the cavity of the mold by way of a narrow passage is formed and the first minimum pressure of the molding material, enabling to pass through the narrow passage, is set less than the sealing pressure exerted between the sealing ring and the hose and is set more than the second minimum pressure thereof, enabling to inhibit the short shot failures.

    Abstract: In order to easily automate the coupling work of a pipe and a hose without damaging the mechanical strength of the structure, a hose with a coupling portion includes a nipple, a hose inserted into the end portion of the nipple, and a resin covering portion integrally covering the coupled portion of the hose and the pipe, the hose being previously configured to include a general part having an inner diameter equal to that of the nipple, a first enlarged part having a diameter enlarged at the fore end of the general part, the inner diameter of the enlarged part being smaller than the outer diameter of the nipple, and a second enlarged part having an inner diameter which gradually increases starting from the fore end of the first enlarged part and becoming larger than the outer diameter of the nipple, the first and second enlarged parts being applied to the nipple.

    Abstract: In a hose fitting fixing construction according to this invention, an engagement member having restoring force of gravity or elastic force is disposed in an engagement space of a bracket. The engagement member engages with an engagement dent of a hose fitting flange inserted into the engagement space, thereby engaging the hose fitting flange with the bracket. A detachment hole may be provided on the bracket to enable easy detachment of the hose fitting flange from the bracket. A detachment jig is inserted into the detachment hole to deform the engagement member against the restoring force and disengage the engagement member from the engagement dent of the hose fitting flange, thereby enabling to detach the hose fitting flange from the engagement space. Accordingly, the hose fitting flange can be installed to the bracket by snap-action even in a limited work space, and detached with ease.

In order to obtain the reinforcing layer of uniform spiral structure stably, a spiral device (21) as a reinforcing layer forming device has an inner spinner (25) and an outer spinner (26), each having conical frustum form, and top end portions of the inner and outer spinners are provided with a plurality of thread holes (G1, G2) and inserted in a gap between the intermediate die (12) and the inner die (2), and the inner and outer spinners can be rotated integrally with inner and outer bobbin carriers respectively.
