  • Publication number: 20080181109
Abstract: The congestion in a network can be avoided by effectively utilizing a prepared network band even in a network where reception intervals of acknowledgments are not correct. According to the information about Ack or Sack (selective acknowledgment) received in a time of the minimum value of an RTT (rtt_min), the number of bytes of received segments (rcv_bytes) for which a receiving side acknowledges the reception is counted, and a received byte number setting unit 16 sets a congestion window (CWND) or a slow start threshold (SSTHRESH) when a packet loss occurs according to the number of bytes of received segments (rcv_bytes) counted by a received byte number counting unit 14 when a packet loss is detected by a loss detection unit 15.

  • Publication number: 20080095796
Abstract: Novel infectious bursal disease (IBD) virus not protectable by the conventional IBD vaccines was isolated and a novel vaccine efficacious to said virus is provided. Novel IBD virus TY2 strain was isolated and its passage strains were obtained. TY2 strain has a distinct genetic type from those of the known IBD viral strains wherein a hypervariable region in VP2, a major host protective antigenic region of said virus, is cleaved with neither TaqI nor SspI but cleaved with MvaI into fragments of about 52 bp and about 422 bp. TY2 strain or the passage strain of said virus allows for production of an excellent vaccine to IBD.

  • Patent number: 7349664
Abstract: A communication system able to smoothly provide services and make requests for services even when the communication link is not constantly connected. The communication system includes a user node, a corresponding node, and a relay node constantly connected to the corresponding node. The relay node acts as proxy for the user node to transmit signals to or receive signals from the corresponding node. The relay node and the user node act as a virtual node with respect to the corresponding node, and the virtual node is identified by the address of the relay node.

  • Publication number: 20080062875
Abstract: Transmission of excess segments to a network can be effectively inhibited. A received byte calculation section 14 calculates, at a sending side, the number of bytes of segments which arrive at a receiving side within a period of a minimum value of RTT measured by a minimum time measurement section 13, a target calculation section 15 calculates a target used for controlling segment transmission based on the number of bytes of the received segments calculated by the received byte calculation section 14, and a send segment control section 16 which controls segment transmission based on the target calculated by the target calculation section 15.

  • Publication number: 20070230337
Abstract: A retransmission control method of the present invention includes the steps in which a receiving terminal: measures a round trip time (RTT) between the receiving terminal and a sending terminal; calculates an RTO by using the measured RTT; and starts a time counting operation of the RTO upon reception from a point in time when a segment is received from the sending terminal; transmits a segment prompt signal which prompts the sending terminal to transmit a segment, when the segment is not received from the sending terminal until the RTO is completed, and in which the sending terminal: retransmits a segment to the receiving terminal when there is a segment to be retransmitted; and transmits a data-less signal to the receiving terminal when there is a segment that should be retransmitted, the data-less signal indicating that there is no segment that should be retransmitted.

  • Patent number: 7224277
Abstract: When a tag selector 30 receives a plurality of RFID tag IDs detected by an RFID tag reader 10, by a tag ID receiving part 31, it acquires nonspecificities corresponding to these RFID tag IDs from an attribute information DB 41. The tag selector 30 selects an RFID tag ID with a nonspecificity smaller than a predetermined selected tag threshold by a tag ID selecting part 33 and notifies a service determining device 50 of it. A nonspecificity is an index indicating a diversity of use of an article to which a corresponding RFID tag is attached. Therefore, the service determining device 50 determines a service to be provided for the user, based on the RFID tag ID with the low nonspecificity value, whereby it becomes feasible to promptly provide the service very likely desired by the user.

  • Patent number: 7218228
Abstract: In a tag reader/writer 10 according to the present invention, first, a temporary ID receiver 11 receives a temporary ID unit of temporary IDs of RFID tags 41–44, and 47 detected by another tag reader/writer 20, and stores them into a temporary ID storage DB 12. When the tag reader/writer 10 detects RFID tags 41, 43, 45, 46, and 48 within a communication area of its own, a temporary ID acquirer 13 thereof acquires temporary IDs of those RFID tags and stores them into the temporary ID storage DB 12. Thereafter, the tag reader/writer 10 makes a temporary ID comparator 14 compare temporary ID units stored, to specify a temporary ID corresponding to a difference between them, based on the result of the comparison. When the temporary ID is a decrease, it is determined to be a lost article, and a message of the lost article is sent. When the temporary ID is an increase, it is determined to be a newly purchased article, and related advertisement information is provided.

  • Publication number: 20070079370
Abstract: A programmable controller system is formed by connecting a personal computer having an aid device program module installed to serve as an aid device for development of control program to a programmable controller having password protect function. A hardware key storing a specified password code is detachably attached to the personal computer. The aid device program module checks whether or not software module with a function of certifying a hardware key exists and if it is found to exist, it is linked as a part of the aid device program module and the function of certifying the hardware key is caused to operate.

  • Publication number: 20070033083
Abstract: A noun and a verb is mapped as the information about an article to which an article identifier such as a radio tag, etc. is attached and a user activity, thereby estimating a user activity from the article to which the article identifier is attached and providing a user with appropriate information. An article identifier for identification of an article is associated with article information and stored (step S202), and the relationship between a noun relating to the article information and a verb relating to the article are associated with a conditional probability and held in the probability information holding unit (step S207). Upon detection of the article identifier, the probability of the verb to the noun is calculated based on the contents held in the probability information holding unit, thereby estimating a user activity (step S212). Thus, based on the detection result of the article identifier attached to the article, the activity of the user on the article can be estimated.

  • Patent number: 7158035
Abstract: When an information providing server 20 according to the present invention acquires attribute information items of RFID tags 51 to 59 detected in a shopping cart and in the vicinity thereof, it transmits these attribute information items to a rule server 30. When the received attribute information items satisfy a predetermined combination, the rule server 30 returns presentation information corresponding to the combination to the information providing server 20. When the information providing server 20 receives this presentation information, it sends the presentation information to a mail address of mobile equipment 70 acquired from the attribute information items. This permits the user to readily figure out a dish that can be made from cooking ingredients put in the cart.
