The sealing portion creates an evacuated space between the first substrate and the second substrate. When viewed from a region where the second substrate is positioned with respect to the first substrate, the first substrate includes a part arranged to stick out of an edge of the second substrate. The part includes a mounting portion used to mount the glass panel unit onto a vehicle.
