  • Patent number: 8495939
Abstract: A table saw includes a table capable of supporting a workpiece, a cutting unit and a positioning fence. The positioning fence has a positioning surface for supporting the workpiece. The positioning surface is divided into an upper positioning surface and a lower positioning surface that are positioned above the table. First slide fences allocated to the lower positioning surface and second slide fences allocated to the upper positioning surface are slidably supported in a table surface direction relatively independent from each other. The positioning surfaces of the first and second slide fences constitute an entire region of the positioning surface. In this way, the entire region of the positioning surface is made to be slidable in accordance with various operation modes.

  • Publication number: 20130158069
Abstract: It is intended to provide a highly safe, orally administrable preventive and/or therapeutic agent for thrombosis and/or embolism that can be applied to a thrombosis and/or embolism patient with severe renal impairment. The present inventors have found that even for a thrombosis and/or embolism patient with severe renal impairment, use of edoxaban at a dose of 15 mg once a day can effectively prevent thrombosis and/or embolism while avoiding the risk of bleeding. The present inventors have also found that even for a thrombosis and/or embolism patient with severe renal impairment, edoxaban at a dose of 15 mg once a day can effectively prevent thrombosis and/or embolism with safety over a long period.

  • Patent number: 8346553
Abstract: A recognition result extraction unit and an agreement determination unit are provided. The recognition result extraction unit extracts, from a recognition result storage unit, N best solutions A and B obtained by an utterance B. The utterance B follows an utterance A corresponding to the N best solutions A and made by a speaker b who is different from a speaker of the utterance A. In a case where a repeat utterance determination unit determines that the N best solutions B are N best solutions obtained by a repeat utterance B according to the utterance A corresponding to the N best solutions A, when the best solution A and B are different each other, the agreement determination unit determines that some or all of the N best solutions A can be replaced with some or all of the N best solutions B.

  • Patent number: 8271280
Abstract: A voice recognition apparatus can reduce false recognition caused by matching with respect to the phrases composed of a small number of syllables, when it performs a recognition process, by a pronunciation unit, for voice data based on voice produced by a speaker such as a syllable and further performs recognition by a method such as the Word Spotting for matching with respect to the phrases stored in the phrase database. The voice recognition apparatus performs a recognition process for comparing a result of the recognition process by a pronunciation unit with the extended phrases obtained by adding the additional phrase before and/or behind the respective phrases.

  • Publication number: 20120194142
Abstract: Power generation efficiency is improved with a simple configuration. A braking device is provided with a brake rotor which rotates on a central axis, and friction portions which are in frictional contact with the brake rotor. A coil is wound around the outer peripheral portion of the brake rotor. A friction portion has the north pole of a magnet, and a friction portion has the south pole of a magnet. The braking device generates electricity by using an electromagnetic induction phenomenon and an electrostatic phenomenon that are caused by the interaction between the outer peripheral portion and the friction portion, for example, at the time of braking. As a result, the configuration can be simplified and the amount of power generation is not likely to be limited by a motor capability because there is very little need to use the motor as a generator.

  • Publication number: 20120103735
Abstract: There is provided a braking device including a pad having a friction surface, and a disc having a friction surface sliding on the friction surface. The pad includes, in the friction surface, a plurality of hard particles tilted in the opposite direction to a direction in which the friction surface slides on the friction surface, and the disc includes, in the friction surface, a plurality of hard particles tilted in the direction in which the friction surface slides on the friction surface. Thereby, mutually pressing forces between the hard particles are increased. Additionally, the mutually pressing forces between the hard particles are increased, and consequently the distance between the friction surfaces is shortened. Therefore, a higher frictional force can be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20120073914
Abstract: A brake system includes a pad having a frictional surface, and a disc having a frictional surface sliding on the frictional surface. The frictional surface includes hard particles supported elastically and a plurality of protrusions arranged along a direction in which the frictional surface slides on the frictional surface, and when the frictional surface slides on the frictional surface, particles abut respective protrusions continuously while being displaced in the direction perpendicular to the frictional surface. Thus, wear resistance can be improved Since only the vicinities of the peaks of the hard particles and the vicinities of the peaks of the protrusions abut, the hard particles do not follow irregularities of the frictional surface, and thereby the hard particles and the protrusions repeat point contact. Thus, since the distance between the hard particles and the protrusions is stabilized and the adhesion frictional force is stabilized, a stable frictional force can be obtained.
