  • Patent number: 8360108
Abstract: An existing-pipe rehabilitation method for constructing a rehabilitation pipe inside an existing pipe to rehabilitate the existing pipe. A rehabilitation pipe is constructed inside an existing pipe by coupling segments in the circumferential direction and the lengthwise direction of the existing pipe so that the rehabilitation pipe has a constant outer diameter. A lining material impregnated with a liquid curable resin is inserted into the rehabilitation pipe thus constructed. The liquid curable resin is cured to line the internal circumferential surface of the rehabilitation pipe with the lining material so that an inner diameter of the rehabilitation pipe lined with the lining material is smaller than an inner diameter of the existing pipe.

  • Publication number: 20130008551
Abstract: A resin sheet that is comprised of a thermoplastic resin capable of being thermally welded to a lining material of a main pipe is attached to a flange of a lateral pipe liming material via a resin-absorbing material. The resin sheet and the resin-absorbing material are thermally welded. The flange and the resin-absorbing material are respectively impregnated with a thermoplastic resin, which is cured to bond the flange and the resin-absorbing material. A similar configuration is provided to the bottom side of the flange as well. The resin sheet of the thermoplastic resin is integrally bonded to the flange, so that the flange of the lateral pipe lining material and the main pipe lining material can be reliably bonded by a simple method through thermally welding of the lining material of the main pipe and the resin sheet, even in a case in which the flange is hard.

  • Publication number: 20120296223
Abstract: A measurement device pressurizes two cuffs in a state in which the cuffs are attached to the distal side and the proximal side of the measurement device, respectively, calculates an AI value or the like based on a pulse wave detected from a change in cuff pressure on the distal side while pressurizing the two cuffs, and determines that avascularization on the distal side has been completed if the AI value or the like has converged. Once it is determined that avascularization has been completed, the cuff pressure on the distal side is fixed, and a pulse wave is detected from a change in cuff pressure on the proximal side in a state in which the distal side is avascularized.

  • Patent number: 8240339
Abstract: Segments are linked in the circumferential and pipe length directions to assemble a rehabilitating pipe inside an existing pipe in order to rehabilitate the existing pipe. A plurality of nuts are secured to the segments along the circumferential direction thereof. A fastening member having a screw part is provided which is screwed into the nut to fasten a first segment to a second segment to which the nut is secured, thereby linking the first and second segments in the pipe length direction thereof. The position of the nut in the first segment is offset as viewed in the circumferential direction from the nut position of the second segment. The arrangement of the fastening members and the nuts is staggered as viewed in its entirety. This allows the connection strength of the segments in the pipe length direction to be made uniform.

  • Publication number: 20120172734
Abstract: A blood pressure measurement device accurately calculates an index useful in determining the degree of arteriosclerosis by accurately detecting a difference in time of appearance of a ejection wave and reflected wave in a blood pressure waveform. The device sets a threshold value based on an index that expresses a characteristic of the blood pressure waveform with respect to the point of appearance of the reflected wave in the blood pressure and estimates a rise point of the reflected wave by calculating an x-coordinate value of a point based on a maximum amplitude of the reflected wave and the threshold value. The device obtains the index of degree of arteriosclerosis by calculating a time difference in appearance between the ejection wave and the reflected wave based on the estimated rise point of the reflected wave.

  • Publication number: 20120103514
Abstract: A main pipe is lined by a main pipe lining material comprising a resin pipe made of a thermoplastic resin. A flange of a lateral pipe lining material is formed of a material capable of being welded to the thermoplastic resin of the resin pipe of the main pipe lining material. The thermoplastic resins of the flange of the lateral pipe lining material and the resin pipe are heated for plastic welding by a heater to integrally join the flange of the lateral pipe lining material with the main pipe lining material. This prevents the ingress of underground water together with sediment into the main pipe from the section where the lateral pipe and the main pipe intersect.

  • Publication number: 20120071768
Abstract: A blood pressure information measurement device includes light emitting elements and light receiving elements as a plurality of pairs of first and second sensors in a cuff. While the cuff pressure is increased, combinations of the plurality of pairs of the light emitting elements and the light receiving elements are switched, and volume pulse waves are obtained from each of the combinations. After increasing the cuff pressure, for each of the volume pulse waves corresponding to the combinations, a specific volume value at a point where the amount of volume change becomes maximal is extracted. Thereafter, based on values corresponding to the maximum and minimum blood pressure and the specific volume value, the sensors for measurement are determined.
