  • Patent number: 6795625
Abstract: A polyethylene spacer for optical fiber cable including a central tensile member, an intermediate coating layer arranged on an outer periphery of the central tensile member and being compatible with polyethylene and a main coating arranged on an outer periphery of the intermediate coating layer and having continuous spiral grooves for accommodating optical fibers and which are inverted periodically in a lengthwise direction. The main coating is formed from polyethylene resin. The spacer includes ribs defining the spiral grooves. A minimum thickness of the ribs is 1.0 mm or less, the groove inclination angle &agr; of a cross section of the spacer at inversion part is 18° or less. A resin density of a root part of each rib is the lowest in comparison to a resin density at a tip part of the rib and central parts of the rib between the root part and the tip part.

  • Publication number: 20040174418
Abstract: A liquid cartridge is provided that supplies liquid to a liquid ejecting apparatus by being mounted in the liquid ejecting apparatus. The liquid cartridge includes a cartridge body having a side face in which an opening is formed; and a flexible film for forming an ink accommodating chamber that is a closed space for accommodating the liquid, with the cartridge body by covering the opening of the cartridge body. The flexible film is caused to deform toward the ink accommodating chamber by atmospheric pressure that acts on the flexible film when the liquid cartridge is got out from a vacuum bag in which the liquid cartridge is packaged, thereby increasing the pressure in the ink accommodating chamber.

  • Publication number: 20040150431
Abstract: A semiconductor integrated circuit device is provided to reduce the adverse effect of PWM noise occurring in a PWM driving section on an analog voltage processing section in an IC, in which digital and analog circuits are combined on a single chip. A sampling signal generation circuit outputs a sampling signal St to an A/D converter at a predetermined time when “delay time td+allowance time ta” has elapsed from a start signal Sp. The delay time td is shorter than “the minimum time width of H level of PWM signal SPWM1−allowance time ta”. The delay time td is also time from the variation of level of the PWM signal SPWM1 to actual variation in the passage of current through a power section.

  • Publication number: 20040115937
Abstract: A reaction prevention layer is formed to prevent Si from reacting with a gallium nitride group semiconductor (semiconductor crystal A) which is deposited after the reaction prevention layer is formed. By forming a reaction prevention layer comprising a material whose melting point or thermal stability is higher than that of a gallium nitride group semiconductor, e.g., AlN, on a sacrifice layer, a reaction part is not formed in the semiconductor substrate deposited on the reaction prevention layer when the gallium nitride group semiconductor is grown by crystal growth for a long time. In short, owing to the effect that the reaction prevention layer prevents silicon (Si) from diffusing, the reaction part is generated only in the sacrifice layer and it is never formed at the upper portion of the reaction prevention layer even by growing the semiconductor crystal A at a high temperature for a long time.

  • Patent number: 6677991
Abstract: A portable display apparatus selectively operable in a still picture mode or a movie mode includes an operating section for allowing the user of the device to select either one of the two modes. In the movie mode, a synchronous movie processing section relates color data fed and color data to be output on an integral multiple basis and thereby synchronizes input color data and output color data. Void pixels where color data are absent are interpolated to generate a plurality of lines. Consequently, three colors R(red), G (green) and B (blue) are output at the same time in synchronism with a vertical timing as well. Therefore, the generated lines can adequately display a picture alone. Not all the color data are stored or processed, as customary with conventional two field memories, but only necessary lines are used for display. In the still picture mode, the color data fed are temporarily stored.

  • Publication number: 20030167813
Abstract: A worm is formed by rolling to reduce the number of processing steps while ensuring the worm accuracy satisfactorily. A work material is positioned between a first rolling die (100) and a second rolling die (101) by rotation of the rolling dies and a servomotor (76) for feeding the work material. When the lead angle of a worm is large and there is a large difference between the finished diameter and the blank diameter, the lead angle changes during the progress of rolling process, resulting in occurrence of through-feed. A slide plate (55) is freely slidable on a slide (53). Therefore, when through-feed occurs owing to the lead angles of the first and second rolling dies (100) and (101) and the workpiece, the slide plate (55) slides freely, and this is detected with a detecting sensor. The rotation of the first and second rolling dies (100) and (101) is stopped.
