Abstract: A method for retrieving data from multidimensional data includes providing a plurality of vectors having feature values in the multidimensional data. A specified retrieving condition is transformed into a retrieving query vector having a dimension equal to a dimension of the multidimensional data. Distances between the retrieving query vector and potential vectors to be retrieved are calculated. The process is stopped and skips calculating a distance when a cumulative value is greater than a maximum value. The method also retains the distance calculated when the cumulative value is less than the maximum value. The maximum value is replaced with the distance calculated, when the distance is less than the maximum value. The method then outputs the retained multidimensional data after the retaining and replacing steps. An apparatus, computer program and machine readable medium related to the method are also discussed.

Abstract: Continuous speech is recognized by selecting among hypotheses, consisting of candidates of symbol strings obtained by connecting phonemes corresponding to a Hidden Markov Model (HMM) having the highest probability, by referring to a phoneme context dependent type HMM from input speech using a HMM phoneme verification portion. A phoneme context dependent type LR (Left-Right) parser portion predicts a subsequent phoneme by referring to an action specifying item stored in an LR (Left to Right) parsing table to predict a phoneme context around the predicted phoneme using an action specifying item of the LR table.

Abstract: A grout material comprises a pulverulent body having a silicone coating portion formed on at least a part of the surface of a base material. The particle size of the pulverulent body ranges from 1 to 10 .mu.m. A grouting method using a grout material comprises the steps of boring a hole in a predetermined portion of an area to be grouted, supplying to the hole a powdery grout material containing a pulverulent body having a silicone coating portion formed on at least a part of the surface of a base material and thereby grouting the grout material into the periphery of the hole.
