    Abstract: A ceramic capacitor includes a capacitor body and a metal layer arranged on an outer surface of the capacitor body. The outer surface includes: a first capacitor major surface; a second capacitor major surface opposite to the first capacitor major surface in a thickness direction of the capacitor body; and a capacitor lateral surface between the first and second capacitor major surfaces. The capacitor body includes a first layer section and a second layer section. The first layer section includes a plurality of ceramic dielectric layers and a plurality of internal electrodes, wherein the ceramic dielectric layers and the internal electrodes are layered alternately. The second layer section is exposed at the first capacitor major surface, and includes a corner portion at a boundary between the first capacitor major surface and the capacitor lateral surface. The metal layer covers the corner portion of the second layer section.

    Abstract: A label affixing apparatus enables an RFID tag to be affixed to a product at a distance from the product. The apparatus comprises: a folding/affixing device which conveys a label, a label holder holds a front surface side of the label, a folding device causes a part of the label including a tag attachment site to project by folding the part from a rear surface side to the front surface side into an angular shape. Either traction is suppressed when the label is affixed to the product. A reader/writer has an antenna in a position facing the part of the label when the part of the label is folded, for reading and writing information from and to the RFID tag. A fold detector detects if the label is folded. The label holding device moves between a label suction position and a label affixing position. Folding is assisted from a rear surface side of the part of the label.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid specimen analysis disk assembly, which prevents a liquid specimen from adhering onto a surface of a disk and leaking out of the disk, and is easy to handle during injection of the specimen. The disk assembly includes a guide member detachably provided on the disk and having a guide hole for guiding a distal portion of a specimen injector toward a specimen injection port, so that the specimen is injected into a specimen spreading cavity or an internal channel from the specimen injection port and rotated about an axis of the disk, and the specimen spread in the channel following the rotation is optically scanned for analyzing. The distal portion of the specimen injector is inserted into the guide hole and assuredly guided to the center of the specimen injection port, thus preventing the specimen from adhering onto the disk surface around the injection port.
